Fantasy Football Advice

I have 3 options for my flex, Carlos Hyde against Steelers, Devonta Freeman against Eagles or Marvin Jones against Jets in the flex. I'm wary of Freeman's matchup.

marvin jones for me - he could literally win your fantasy week for you - he always has a game early in the year that makes me love him and i can see it happening vs the jets corners

now that's just me personally - if im honest at this point you just play the best player rather than the matchup because you never really know the strengths of different teams in week 1 so id honestly just play the best playmaker which is probably devonta freeman (who's the more likely of the 3 to score tds too)

i like hyde the player but its too early on a new team to really know what his role or his effectiveness is gonna be

objectively id play freeman
personally id take the risk on jones

I do have Hunt. You sure I shouldn't pull the trigger?
I’m not SURE, but I wouldn’t do it. Hunt is a very good fantasy player in his own right, so Bells upside isn’t large enough to risk him being out an extended period of time and losing out on Hunts points. Right now it’s not looking like Bell will come back soon, but money talks. And he will be losing a lot of it, so he might. Bottom line I don’t think the risk/reward is worth it

id agree with that - bell is a top 4 rb in real life but kareem hunt will probably be a stat monster again especially in that KC offence

Makes sense. Thanks a lot man. I agree @rossihunter2 , he will get a lion's share of the touches in that offense.

Hyde all day.
Going with my gut then.

Also I have John brown on waivers now(lol how?) him or Crowell or Allen Robinson at flex? I really think Crowell is gonna go off this year and he’s at Miami, but I can see brown having a big day and Robinson is by far the best player in that bunch but idk how to feel about him vs Seattle.

I'd go Robinson and not think about it too much. Brown and Crowell are good no doubt but the ball will be spread around in their offense. AR is the focal point of his offense, has already a pretty nice rapport with Trubisky and, tbf, Seattle's secondary is super overrated.

I just find it hard to flex a wr over a rb when it’s a toss up. No doubt Robinson is the best player, but RBs are the safer pick, and after seeing the bears game plan last week I don’t trust them lol.

Should I start T.Y. Hilton, J.Brown, Thielen or Robbie Anderson @ WR2?
As of now I'm leaning towards Brown.

AR is absolutely NOT the focal point of his offense. Crowell will prob be a good play

I’d go with Thielen. Definitely not Anderson, Brown is a decent option. TY is a good one but I’d go with Thielen first, he and Cousins are looking very tight.

when its close id always go with the better player which to me is clearly robinson

I usually feel th same, but I also feel that RB is the safer option for flex, I usually go with a RB at flex unless it’s a clear cut in your face matchup advantage for the wr

why do you feel rb is safer?
is this a standard or ppr league?
Standard. And because WR is such a volatile position by nature. Starting RBs get carries, WRs have to share targets with other WRs, TEs, RBs, and then you gotta hope they are catchable targets and then they have to be targeted in the red zone. RBs are just far less volatile to me. Like I had ajayi and Agholor week 1, thank fuck I flexed ajayi instead of Agholor because that was my debate lol.

i see what you mean - but ive just never liked crowell - he'll never lose you a week on fantasy but he'll rarely win you one either (outside of last week)

yes he's steady but he's not the kind of back that leads me to believe he'll consistently put up 12 points or more a week
