Projected BPA at 22

of guys you expect available/could have a chance at falling to 22, what are your top 5 BPA for us?
Mine goes:

1. Chris Lindstrom
2. Kelvin Harmon
3. Devin bush
4. Hakeem butler
5. Deebo Samuel

I say this with the idea that Montez sweat boosted his stock and won’t be there at 22. Also Nasir Adderley fell from my 1 to somewhere between 5 and 10 after we signed Earl Thomas.

2. Chris lindstrom
3. AJ brown
4. Kelvin Harmon
5. Bradbury / deebo tie..

I would rather trade back than take any of those recievers. Im just not sold on any of the recievers that could be there at 22 to feel comfortable drafting. Deebo maybe but his injury history makes me feel uncomfortable.

I feel like 22 is a sweet spot for interior offensive lineman in this class. Someone like Lindstrom, Bradbury, Ford, or Risner

you guys reckon hollywood would be there at 22 given his lisfranc?

Possibly. But I don’t think he’s the best fit for us. He would thrive with a brees or someone who can get him the ball right out if his breaks with accuracy. Lamar probably be better with a big bodied big catch radius blocking WR atm

i mean philosophically i disagree with that tbh - i want to put loads of speed around lamar - this passing game is going to predicated on big plays and guys like hollywood can do that going downfield but also can take those short ones to the house - and importantly he's such a nifty route runner and so fast that the throwing windows are bigger than with a big body guy which negates some of those accuracy problems and lamar throws with nice touch naturally which is why im less worried about his height too

you're talking about bpa, then said you are moving a player to between 5-10 because of Earl Thomas. So you're moving someone because of need.
Is this BPA based on need or is it true BPA?

I had Cleveland taking Hollywood, but now that they traded for OBJ, I could see him falling to 22. That being said, the Giants may be targeting a WR at 17, but I don't think it will be Hollywood

Not true BPA, BPA for us. I wouldn’t say BPA for needs only, but needs weigh into it. If we have tony Jefferson long term, and Earl Thomas long term, and 2 promising backup safeties early on rookie deals, then it’s REALLY hard to overlook gaping holes for players you have rated similar to the ones who fill a need.

so that is BPA with a needs emphasis or needs weighted in just like you said and that is what I was referring to as well.

I dont really think Hollywood would be a good fit for us though. Hes not a good blocker and isnt great at contested catches.

he's not my first choice, but he'd fit if we were tying to put speedy wideouts around Lamar. If he were there in the 2nd and some of my other WRs were off the board, I'd have no issues taking him.

right but for him to go from number 1 to completely out of the top 5 is quite a highly-weighted need part lol

just sayin...

What if they have some crazy plans to let Roman go nuts with TEs and draft Irv Smith at 22 (Hockenson will go top 10-15)?

Flex, I'd say all the guys you mentioned have more than a chance of being there...Perhaps not Bush but the others will be there

yeah i mean maybe he's off the board or maybe we go in a different direction but i love what his skillset would give us in playmaking and in terms of what he can offer lamar as an outlet and game-breaker on offence

we've got no speed on offence outside of lamar at the moment - no one who makes a defence worry about getting beaten for big plays or being outright beaten over the top nor do we have guys who threaten big plays with the ball in their hands either...

DJ has posited this idea of surrounding lamar with a track team and the more ive thought about and the longer the idea has gesticulated it feels like one that would be a great fit for lamar - it allows us to threaten defences at multiple levels and gives us a threat to be efficient in the passing game with big plays despite being a team based around the run and the threat of the run

a big-bodied guy on the outside is less likely going to be able to take advantage of those opportunities in the passing game to make big plays which is what Greg Roman has said our offence will be predicated on: the running game setting up a big-play passing game

to me that means guys who can do things in space and who can create lots of space - so as much as i think some of the bigger-bodied guys might be good fits and even good players, i think in terms of the ravens speed and quickness and burst are going to be the qualities that kill other teams

Whats the deal with Bradbury? Does most everything superbly but can't anchor to save his life. Any chance he can improve his lower half strength- wise?

havent watched enough but it really was his big struggle at the senior bowl

and given the division we play in and the struggles we've had at the position with a certain type of guy e.g. gradkowski, zuttah, skura who are all not great anchoring im really wary of this with bradbury

I consider him to be likely the most talented there, but I also find it very hard to draft a player in the first when we are invested long term with big money involved at that position.. I mean signing Earl Thomas is a pretty big deal... it’s not like having weddle and passing on James, one was a 1-2 year stopgap and the other is the best/2nd safety in football lol. If it means anything, if I was grading like a teacher, I’d probably have most of my top 10 within 10 points of each other based on talent alone, so these guys weren’t far apart to begin with
