that's cool lol - he gets extra money and it doesnt count against the cap

important note: they call it performance-based but it's based around playing time and snaps - skura played 100% of the offensive snaps and some additional special teams snaps as a former UDFA which is why he's getting the highest payout

Frankly OL play is so bad across the league, playing 100% of the time on a team that won games probably puts him in the top half of centers automatically.

I didn't know where to post this.

Clemson pro day:
Defensive line coach Joe Cullen was in attendance. He was working out Wilkins and Lawrence.

Illinois pro day:
Many were surprised when Nick Allegretti, who stood out during practices for the Shrine Game, was not invited to the combine. As a result, 29 scouts showed up for his pro day.

Numbers are slowly coming in and Allegretti, who measured 6042 and 310 pounds, touched 29 inches on the vertical jump.

He met extensively with the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots, and both teams have shown a lot of interest in the versatile blocker who can line up at guard or center.

these are the kind of reports that are really indicative of our draft board - we really place an emphasis (especially on day 3) on guys who played in the all-star games - we love bringing in some of those guys from the senior bowl and the shrine game that are maybe lower on other teams's radars

Patrick Onwuasor, 26
Michael Pierce, 26
Matt Judon, 26
Alex Lewis, 26
Matt Skura, 26
Willie Snead, 26

this list isnt exhaustive either

to add some extra context here's all the players over 30 or over on the ravens roster (N.B. Earl Thomas included because he will be 30 before the season starts):
Earl Thomas, 29*
Jimmy Smith, 30
Brandon Williams, 30
Anthony Levine Sr, 31
Brandon Carr, 32
Morgan Cox, 32
Marshal Yanda, 34
Sam Koch, 36

this list is exhaustive...

and if you look at the contributors and contributions of each category yes there's some major contributors in the 30+ category but 2 of the 3 oldest are special teamers and the only other who's older than 31 is brandon carr who just had a career year lol

Now THIS is a youth movement. Once we draft some studs, get ready to have a b***k o*t season!

When I first saw the tweet, I thought we gave him a contract extension or something. I just hope to see some improvement in him this season, get him in the weight room and get him stronger so he can hold his blocks a bit more. Just better than he did last year, and maybe he'll net us a 4th round comp by some dumb team who overpays him.

Skura is one of worst centers in the NFL. There is nowhere to go but up. Anyone have his PFF rank? Probably last or in bottom 3-4.
