Top 10 Ravens all-time

I don't think Ngata is a hall of fame player. In fact, after 2010 i was kinda dissapointed in him. He didn't really take it the the next level IMO. He's a very very good player but I was waiting for more and it actually became less. Don't get me wrong, he was a great player but he wasn't as dominant as we all thought he was going to be.
I definitely can tell you Skins fans were disappointed with him in 2012.

Flacco would probably still be here if the FO actually cared about trying to find him a stud WR in the draft, but it is what it is.

Perhaps, like most Ravens fans I know (including myself) the FO had seen enough of Flacco after 11 seasons and that's why he is no longer on their roster. :D  :D

Except they didn't wait to see what he could do. They never gave him proper help even when he was a young QB. He had Rice, Pitta, and the occasional past his prime vet WR. And Flacco still gave us late game leads, and walked into the toughest places to play without choking. He even did his part to give us the chance to be in multiple SBs if other parts of the team didn't choke in huge moments (defense giving up two fourteen point leads in the second half, Evans dropping a TD pass, missed FG, And four a long, perfect pass for a first down and it's dropped).

They didn't wait to see what he could do? After 11 seasons? C'mon now! Lol! Well, evidently, Bisciotti had seen enough of him...HE GONE!! Lol!

I agree that he needed to go, but if the FO actually tried to give him more weapons, years ago, then maybe Flacco could have proved that he deserved to stay here for his entire career. It's unfortunate that our franchise-best QB was treated like an afterthought for most of his time here.

Regardless, I'm excited for Lamar's future and it seems that we're already dedicated to helping him out as much as we possibly can. Really can't wait to see what the offense looks like this season.

I get all of that, I do! And yet, at the same time, I'd seen enough of Flacco for 11 seasons; the good, the bad and the ugly!

With Lamar at the helm now, the Ravens offensive "philosophy" seems to be shifting somewhat. Starting with the QB, all I see is; speed, speed, speed, and more speed and explosive players being added around Lamar so that defenses can't just key in on and sniffle him. Now, it seems to be more of a "pick your poison" type of offense that the Ravens are putting together in a similar fashion like the Chiefs. And if I'm honest, and I am; I absolutely love it!

It's crazy to think that we could actually have one of the most exciting offenses in the league now after our history of inept/mediocre offensive football. I really hope Lamar proves all the haters wrong and shows that he's not just a running QB.

Pretty sure you mean Evans, but yeah.

See and that's just the thing for me. You mentioned it! The Ravens offense has been "inept" and "extremely mediocre" for years now. We've been well overdue in shaking off that foolishness by changing whatever the hell needs to be changed. Sure, let's pound the rock but, let's also be able to score quick, fast and in a hurry to get up on teams and let them fight from behind instead of that being Raven's forte'.

Lamar can throw! You don't win the Heisman by just being a runner! Lol! Lamar is a 22-year-old kid-a rookie when he took over and look at the spark that came over the Ravens! Wow! New life, new energy, new enthusiasm! Bisciotti is riding that wave and I'm glad! Lamar now has the entire off-season to improve, work on his game and to develop chemistry with the 1's. And, with the new additions around him, that can "GROW" with him; I am extremely hopeful about this "NEW-LOOK" Ravens! I'll be at M&T to see them firsthand in wk #2 when Suggs comes back to town. Can't wait!

Lamar can throw, for sure, but I just want him to do more of it and prove all the naysayers wrong that keep saying he can't. All the casual football fans who are just calling him a glorified RB and the talking heads saying that he won't last in the NFL can eat it.

P.S. I have still not gotten a chance to go to a Ravens game in all of my time of being a fan, but I was also considering going to that particular game. If I go then we'll have to meet up...lol

How about Peter Boulware?
Boulware is pretty underrated for what he could do. Great edge rusher. The one season he could just focus on that, where he went from 4-3 OLB to 4-3 DE he set the old franchise record for most sacks in a season. What's really crazy though is that he wasn't just a great pass rusher. Best way to describe Boulware in his prime is like combining Elvis Dumerville's pass rushing ability with KJ Wright's cover ability. He was possibly a top 5 LB in the league at doing both.

Ray may have been the brains of that defense, but Boulware was the attack dog.

Absolutely!

Lamar's lack of throwing more was on the coaching staff I believe to ease him into leading the offense. Sure, he threw some horrible passes and missed wide open receivers at times as well BUT Flacco has been doing that 11 seasons in as a starter so, Lamar has a nice learning curve to get it right. Lol! Seriously though, that TD pass to Andrews in San Diego was a thing of beauty. Lamar stood flat-footed (figure of speech) didn't look to run and tossed a strike to Andrews for the TD. The kid can throw! I expect he'll do a whole lot more of that and that his accuracy, timing and chemistry with the receivers will also improve over the off-season. Can't believe that I'm actually excited about the Ravens offense. I haven't been that in YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRSSSSS!!! Defense has always been my first love....period! But now, I'm actually looking forward to seeing the offense.

Yeah, Lamar can actually hit the WRs in stride which is something that Flacco almost never did. I can watch that Andrews pass all day!

Back on topic....has anyone put Jarrett Johnson in their list of top 10 Ravens? He'd probably get my vote for most underrated Raven of all-time. Great at stopping the run and was just a tough, hard-nosed player. Also, his hit on Hines Ward was legendary.

Underrated, sure. But for me he might not even be a top 20 Raven of all time.
