Broncos GM John Elway and agent Frederick Lyles Jr. continued to talk over holiday weekend about 2019 contract adjustment for Chris Harris Jr. Sides appear to have moved closer toward a deal. #9sports

Update: The deal is now done, Broncos and Chris Harris agree to new one year contract adjustment.

Harris will get $12.05 million in salary and bonuses – a 35.4 percent pay raise from the $8.9 million he was scheduled to get in what had been the final year of his old five-year contract.

The deal makes Harris the NFL’s fourth highest-paid cornerback in 2019 cash, trailing only Xavien Howard ($15.285 million), A.J. Bouye ($13.41 million) and Darius Slay ($13.03 million).

I see that Gerald McCoy is visiting the Panthers but I find it funny that their official website does not even mention it.

I think even their website knows they won't sign him. The Panthers aren't contenders and don't have cap space. This visit is really just a formality.

Redskins may be in the need of a new Left Tackle as long time tackle Trent Williams has demanded to be released or traded. So downgrade Haskins' protection before the season starts.

The Texans now join the Jets in a search for a new General Manager. Texans have fired GM Brian Gaine after just one season in Houston, he was hired in January 2018. So let me get this straight, the GM who was in his first season which was a playoff season is the one who gets fired for the ineptness of their Head Coach and poor coaching in a HOME PLAYOFF GAME. Meanwhile, the inept Head Coach kept his job for this season?

The Texans are starting their search for a GM while the Jets have found theirs. Eagles VP of Player Personell Joe Douglas has accepted the position as the Jets GM. Best part is, he kept turning them down and the Jets never backed down lol. He didn't even want to be their GM or he did but played hard ball with them lol.

Jets announced they agreed to terms with Joe Douglas to be their next GM. ‪Jets are giving the former Eagles’ vice president of player personnel a six-year deal to become their GM, per source.‬ ‪Jets just would not take “no” as an answer from Douglas. He tried to turn down the Jets and each time he did, they came back at him harder and harder. Jets simply were not going to be denied in their efforts to land the former Eagles’ vice president of player personnel.‬
