Miles Boykin - He Deserves His Own Thread

Boykin is the typical rookie receiver. I expect him to improve as the season goes on and maybe break out next season.

If you weren’t at the stadium practice seeing him look like he was literally the best player on the team, then mind ya business lmao

I saw it first hand, what I saw there was deserving of its own thread and I think anyone who was there can attest to it.

This is a massive disappointment

It's not the first time we got fooled by WRs tearing it in practice and preseason.

He’s improving week to week and is making an impact at times for us - give him time before throwing him out - he’s a 3rd round pick - will take a little time to develop - he does some things well already and has helped us in the redzone which is something we needed from him

Eh, we were usually going off of ravens beat reporters sucking off no name receivers in their reports, and those guys usually weren’t doing shit in preseason either(tandon doss honestly never showed anything)

This time I saw it in person.

Oh I know, I’m not writing him off, I’m just saying so far I’m disappointed because I thought he was gonna be ready to roll, he looked incredible

Yes he did . I'm not sure why we are not getting him more involved. He has the speed.

Whereas right now the team is giving snaps to Roberts who has done nothing other then make one catch where he got away with OPI. Once the team stops wasting Boykins snaps on Roberts that should add another viable target.

I'll take Stefan Diggs. Let's face it ,pass rushers are really not readily available.

He needs more time IMO. Hes still got things to work on such as releases, finding soft spots and overall chemistry but I saw him as a guy who will make a huge year 2 leap. I still have faith in him.

I can’t understand the Roberts and Moore obsession

Both have problems with drops, as does Boykin, but name me one thing either of them does better than Boykin other than run a sharper route(and even that’s debatable, Boykins not a refined route runner but the sharpness of his breaks are really underrated)

My understanding is that Roberts is a better blocker, but, like I said in another thread, I don't pay attention to how WRs block so I can't really say if that's true or not. Regardless, if our coaching staff is giving Roberts more snaps just because he blocks better then I don't even know where to begin because that's all kinds of stupid. Roberts and Moore have given us almost no production on the field so give Boykin a chance to show us what he was doing in pre-season. Hell, even with his limited snaps, Boykin has already caught 2 TD passes this year which is still more than Roberts and Moore COMBINED. I really wonder about this coaching staff sometimes.
