in hindsight we should have just kept the same team as last year and spent the cap re-signing all our guys.

I think The Ravens wanted to get faster and add more pass rush juice to their defensive line without substituting their ability to defend against the run. Micheal Pierce is a stout run defender but he doesnt get after the passer consistently. He look like he was on his way to evolving to a more consistent pass rusher in 2018 but him in coming into camp over weight obviously didnt help and The Ravens drafted Daylon Mack.

Just draft Jordan Elliot. He's what we're looking for.

We overreacted to this and signed two guys who will have seen better days by the time they suit up for us. Overreaction to the titans game. They just didn't play well by their standards.
We had 4 sacks by D-linemen last year. It wasn’t just a one game abnormality. In fact, we gave up stupid rushing yards in every one of our 3 losses last year. Derek Wolfe is no savior, but he can contribute 15 useful snaps a game. But, with all that said, we need to hit on this draft like gangbusters.

Not mad about it. A little more juice as a pass rusher, even if the sack numbers do look better on the surface than he actually is. Not as good of a run stopper but should fulfill a similar role to what we had in mind with Brockers, as far as versatility goes. There are a lot worse ways to spend money.

I feel like I have to say this but it seems as all people could talk about all off-season was the run defense and I personally have always seen a bigger problem which is the pass rush. Don't get me wrong, I would have loved to have Brockers here and was a little salty seeing that deal fall through, but Wolfe is a great alternative in the sense that not only is he a better pass rusher but also someone who will give us a consistent four-man rush. The problem with the defense primarily is the pass rush and the lack of a four-man rush. I really feel like the run defense aspect is a bit overblown since there were games that were affected by Brandon Williams absence. We also didn't get nearly the same type of production from Micahel Peirce and the two games in which we performed poorly in the run game were against two out of three of the best run teams in the NFL in the 49ers and Titans.

I want to make something clear. I like Derek wolf at his best more than Brockers at his best BUT the guy is physically done. He plays a certain style that unless you're durable as fuck takes a toll on you.

People can talk all they want about pierce but brandon williams contract and building a D line around him was a big mistake.

Oh please stop it. I've never come across a board where they dont want to sign a guy but when he's signed it's like WOW this is a good signing

next day '' he failed a physical'' The board - Great, didn't want him anyway
It actually calmed down a little bit lol.. used to be much worse.

He still had 7 sacks last year. Who on the Ravens had more than that? 11 Assists too.
