I saw that too and he isn't a terrible option if he can stay healthy. He's only 29 and a former 1st round pick...
I don’t know why there is like zero discussion around Fluker. Either people believe he can no longer perform is too big an injury risk or the just think we’re golden at IOL I’m not sure

IOL is still a position of concern imo. It was going into the draft and I’m not sure it was sufficiently addressed.

If we make no moves to improve that position it will indicate that the FO has faith in Powers cause they rarely bank on a draft pick being a starter unless they are a well proven 1st rounder.

I guess there's plenty of time for moves. The more a player waits to get picked up the less his leverage and helps teams in negotiations I guess... but, it's entirely likely that Powers may be ready to assume Yanda's position. My guess is the team must have known Yanda's situation last year and may have a succession plan ready and believe they're set at the position. Or I think we'd be far more aggressive in free agency before the draft, especially with K.O sitting there with his hands out!

If KO did not leave here the way he did talking so bad about us, I would be interested in us signing him. He is one I have said good riddance to!

Yeah, I’m glad we were proven right at least. He wanted LT money because he played like 4 games there in a pinch and ran his mouth about what’s widely regarded as the best organization in the league because we obviously offered G money. He gets the LT contract, plays 3 years as a G, fizzles out, released, goes to a bottom dwelling team, injury bug and downward spiral begins.

not many players have left here on bad terms but I can promise not one of them has done well.

It's not like KO was like Pollard or anything. Didn't he just have one negative to say about one unnamed coach, which we assume to be Castillo? Not ideal sure, but I could get past it. Whether he can still play though is another question.

He was basically like “if they can’t pay me LT money to play guard then fuck them”. He was shitty about the whole situation because he thought he was a LT and he clearly wasn’t

Well we put him at tackle when injuries piled on so I don’t blame him lol. Imagine going into this season with KO and Yanda at guard and they played as well as they did in 2014. I just cant think of any team that would be able to stop our run game.

Fluker is nothing great but I like the signing at this point. No guarantees he even makes the team but adds a vet to the competition and probably pushes Phillips into more of a swing T role this year.

I like the Fluker signing. Seahawks fans are upset because he's a good run blocker and an adequate pass blocker. He's also a super stand up guy and amazing, high energy locker room presence.

The Ravens have better offensive line coaches than the Seahawks, so I'm interested to see if the Ravens can elevate the play of Fluker at all. Not like Pro Bowl level, but quality enough starter.

I think he goes in as the favorite to start as it stands now.

Especially in a season shorter on development for the young guys. Not 100% sure where Skura stands, but if we think he's going to be pushing up against the start of the season, gives us time to let Bredeson work mostly at C if that is a hope for him. Powers as the primary backup at G and Phillips in the swing T/James Hurst role. And if one of the young guys beats out Fluker, even better.

The Seahawks have had problems on their line for years despite investing a few picks into it and having time to build it up. I'm not saying I know anything about Fluker, but the oline coaching in Seattle could just be poor

He took an emergency swing tackle situation for a few games and declared himself worthy of resetting the LT market and shit talked the ravens for not agreeing to his outrageous demands lol

I think looking back at how badly we regressed after losing KO we can expect an even more significant dropoff after losing Yanda.

The way we can offset the loss of Yanda is to either replace him with another AP type guard (unsurprisingly we couldn't) OR we moderately upgrade 2 or 3 interior spots. Are the new guys new KOs or new Eluemunors?

5 teams in 5 years. The talent WAS there but who knows at 29 he could bounce back and have a good year. As I said before the competition at G will be fierce. I like what EDC is doing.
