I just wanna see more Duv out there. Feel like he already runs better routes than Boykin and looks quick in everything he does.

i wouldnt say he runs better routes but he looks sharp as hell and if we can find ways to get him running slants and crossers we'll be able to get him involved and use his explosion

i feel like he's already more of a threat to opposing defences than boykin - he's a a more threatening player - legitimately thought the reverse he got might go all the way because he was that fast getting downfield - he turned on the jets - he might be even faster than hollywood

he ran like 3 times against the bengals - not sure it gets much less than that
We all know that won’t keep up though, especially since he was dealing with a knee ailment

Yeah, I thought he was going to score a TD on that play because it looked like his kickoff return and he was ZOOMING. I don't know if he's faster than Hollywood, but he's definitely close. Also, he definitely has better hands than Boykin does so that's another thing going for him.

duvernay and proche had 2 of the best sets of hands in the entire draft class - post-perriman it's clearly an emphasised trait in our scouting

Just the downward trend that appears to be happening this season, it’s not only from what we saw this week. and honestly I don’t see many people giving Lamar shit, the fan base is more accepting of his play now than they were last November/December when he was shredding the league like cheese.

He’s not faster than hollywood, we just never see Hollywood full speed, like he refuses to go full speed and outrun guys and tries way too much to vary his speed and try to toy with defenders

I didn't say he was, but I think it would be a close race regardless. Hollywood needs to quit that shit though and turn on the burners more. If he can remind defenders of how fast he actually is then it's just going to get into their heads even more when he does change it up.

I rarely see Boykin ever manage to sell a route and he lacks severely lacks explosiveness. At the NFL level I don’t think he will ever make it as a WR. Duvernay is not a world beater here but in the open field hes dangerous and in space, team needs to give him more chances there.

for sure - and its definitely a positive sign that his snaps have been increasing steadily the last couple of weeks - although his involvement still seems to be more earlier in the game (when we're still most likely in the scripted part of our offence)

I just want to see some variety besides the Pistol and Gun formations I guess, plus I want to limit Lamar’s running a tad

I don't mind either as long as there are more WR's on the field. Spread em out

Could we try to line up Boykins at TE alittle? Let him run routes from there next to Andrews?

hes hanging around lamar a little too much smh, Lamar does that but that’s because he’s the trickiest and craftiest runner in the last 20 years, but Hollywood is straight speed and explosiveness and he doesn’t use it

It pisses me off so much when Hollywood catches a pass and then is dancing around for the next 5 mins before diving to the ground. If he just kept his speed and momentum going then he would be dusting people out there.

I’ve only seen a small sample size on tape after the games but Boykin and Snead look so damn slow out of their breaks. No wonder Lamar zeroes in on Hollywood and Mark. Boykin could be a beast of a TE with his size and blocking so maybe we should take the Waller route and make sure we can find some kind of route running stud in the offseason. Emmanuel Sanders last night was running routes like a video game. It was honestly beautiful to watch and I wish Lamar had another option like that. And I’ll keep saying it over and over: can we PLEASE see some under center from Lamar?

Greg Roman offense has always been center around the number 1 wideout and tight end. It's never been a wide receiver friendly offense .It amazes me how reliable and productive Willie Snead was in Marty M offense but less productive in Greg Roman offense.

when he caught that deep out vs cinci and looked inside, slowed up, fake jabbed, the accelerated Out of bounds, I was just like what the fuck are you doing, you’re quite possibly the fastest human currently standing in the mid atlantic, like you are THAT fast, world class speed, and you’re trying to toy with guys that are trying to catch you FROM BEHIND, just fucking hit the gas and they’re not catching you dude.

when we traded Hayden hurst, I said it was The right move because we will never win a super bowl if Lamar doesn’t take some of that TE centric passing game and distribute a piece to the wrs, my biggest concerns were: will lamar make all of those throws? and more concerning for me, will Greg Roman be able to shed that reputation and begin building a passing game centered around distributing the ball to all of your targets.

boykins timing and positioning has been incredibly poor, and he has been extremely slow out of his breaks not due to athleticism but due to being unsure and hesitant, he’s been in the wrong place so often, but none of this can negate the fact that jk dobbins and Devin duvernay have proven to be weapons in both the run and pass game and by the nature of their skill sets you just need to design plays for them, which is on roman. and zeroing in on andrews for a deep dig when duvernay is wide open on a shallow dig for a first and quite possibly running it in for a TD with that speed, is all on Lamar, overthrowing Hollywood is all Lamar, he’s been off, some has been his fault, plenty has been on Roman and Boykin as well, it’s an all around problem that frankly starts with harbaugh and he needs to start putting foots in asses and right the ship, although he’s been known to coach teams that struggle with offensive identity so maybe this is his doing too.
