The Effort, The Steelers and The What Even Was That Game?

no question about that. and i wasnt even hating him(i was not happy with him but i gave him the benefit of the doubt that was a fluke). but then the next preseason he was missing chip shots and then started acting like a petulant child in interviews, oh my god i was so happy to see him go after that.
Bruh I ain't ever seen a KICKER act so entitled and childish like that too. I'll give him this. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't even have a chance to get the man who's closest to a football god on our team.

While I don't feel this way currently, I've never felt so livid after a Ravens loss that I didn't get to see at ALL. I kept up with the notifications though. Last year's Ravens team would've WASHED this Steelers team.

for me the better and more reasonable "what if" is just...

what if luke wilson just caught the ball like he should have?

I love how THIS game is one of what ifs and TENN wasn't because any myriad of things could have happened after this or that play...

The Turning Point was the play and the series you highlight. A TD there and John Harbaugh not expending the last TO prematurely! Down and distance.

There was a similar situation where Tomlin sat on the challenge flag later in the game and let the situation play out. Challenge... TO... JH doesn't have a handle on time management and gets his panties in a bunch and wastes clock stoppage when he "feels" that we've been short changed. His TO, not the Steeler's player lame ducking, is what cost us points or a TD in that series that ended the half.

Only problem in that theory is that it was literally against the rules and should’ve been flagged, so regardless of harbaughs shortcomings and Wilson’s drop, we should’ve had 2 more snaps.

10-12 years ago, what we just saw was the standard ravens Steelers game, and we were hype af to see our team compete tightly against the Steelers.

in 2020, we see that kind of performance from our practice squad and we’re disappointed that we didn’t pull it off lol

do we get Lamar back for Dallas?

Just that it's a groin.

A notorious slow healer and he was already questionable with ankle and back ailments, and given he's had injuries this year already, expecting him back in 6 days seems like a long shot to me. But I could be wrong.

I would say Dallas is a bad opponent to have him missing against, but our secondary held up very well without him against a much better passing attack tonight. So if they played like they did today, we should be fine.

Cleveland wouldn't figure to be a game where he'd be that critical either.

That being said... Dallas is in dire straights. It's as close to a must-win game for them as it gets. 3-8, 12 days to prepare, and they'll need at least 3 more wins to have a shot at the division. They can't afford to lose much ground. A loss to the Ravens all but ends their season.

Thanks for the report. Also thinking groin might be that kind of lagging ingury. Was reading he was having a pretty good year. Fewest yards allowed in coverage per snap in NFL until now I think. But defense really fought into this game and Wink adjusted well with is 3 man rush. Agreed that defense is not our primary concern. Dallas may have their back against the wall but we have ours as well and maybe the guys will find some fighting inspiration out of this game that we were not supposed to have the slightest chance to win.

Castillo looks like he should be starting over Skura .
I think either Mekari or Castillo will be starting moving forward. Just have to figure out the right combination.

I've generally been fine with Bozeman and Powers at Guard recently, so I think they stick.

The question is at RT. You've got Fluker, you've got Phillips and maybe now Mekari there.

Can’t have Fluker there . He is a major liability and penalty machine .

Cowboys, Browns, Jags, Giants, Bengals

Jags and Bengals should be easy wins. If that doesn't hold no playoffs.
Sensing Cowboys and Giants may not be gifts, even if @ Home. No real Home Field Advantages this year.
Browns game may be lynchpin.

Pittsburgh game is usually ugly and close. No exception this time.

I cannot believe that James proche only got 1 snap again... and it was another pick 6

he seems to be getting screwed by qbs not reading well in his direction and getting punished for it

I really would have thought he’d see at least a few more snaps with Snead out but apparently not

Boykin is on the way out... he only had 18 snaps and dez had over 30

Duvernay had almost as many as Hollywood

I am really sad Boykin is not panning out. Thought he would be good for us. Elite mesurables, good hands, willing and efficient blocker, not a diva complaining about lack of targets so willing to embrace our scheme. Sure Lamar not being good on outside throws does not help is development but he was good on in breaking routes and slants in college so I though this would be is main rapport with Lamar. However, it appears that they never developped any chemistry and here we are with yet probably an other failed experiment at wr.

  • Loved the effort last night even though we came up short
  • RG3 is absolutely terrible and should not be the backup any longer. We were able to get away with it last year because of dominant running game, but that is no longer the case with our OL decimated. Trace looked pretty solid last night in limited work (would have loved to see enter the game before the first half even ended) and should really be made the backup. I know it's not going to happen, but it SHOULD.
  • Hope Hollywood's TD sparks a breakout for the remainder of the season. If we can get him going for a playoff run then I think most of us will forgive his recent struggles.
  • Justice Hill had a solid game. We have a crowded backfield obviously, but if Roman can actually design a few plays to get Hill the ball in space on screens then Hill can make some people miss.
  • The Steelers are complete frauds and I'm gonna laugh so goddamn hard when they finally lose
