I definitely think he’s gonna be taken 1st - not disputing that at all - would just be surprised if every team had him rated at the top

Agreed. Seems unreasonable that everyone would agree.
I would agree and it's not ALWAY or EVERYONE almost 'all' the time. I would have some teams liking Waddle and other teams liking Smith better. Just depends on what they like in the receiver the most.
Last year I shouldn't have been surprised that Ruggs came off the board first. Even though Al Davis isn't alive, the legend lives on in that pick. 'Speed'
which is why i would not be surprised at all if many front offices had Waddle or Devonta over Chase - waddle has the sort of electric straight-line speed that ruggs had but is a better overall receiving prospect - and devonta's an elite route-running college prospect who's also got tons of speed and pace and quickness (literally all he's missing is about 15 lbs of weight)
it would surprise me but it wouldn't completely shock me if there was a team that had bateman 1st on their board either... he's got a similar frame to chase, but he's a much better route-runner - chase is probably more athletic after the catch (chase is truly electric after the catch) but it would not shock me if bateman's technical refinement and frame had him rated over the other 3 guys on someone's board
i think you could make a convincing case about any of those 4 guys (smith, chase, waddle, bateman) for being the 1st ranked WR on the board - what's been clear to me for a while though is that kyle pitts is the best receiver in this draft lol even if he's not designated as a WR

A lot of people had Baylor as national champions on their brackets. They were the #2 overall team coming into the tournament.

I'm not surprised really. I thought UCLA drained pretty much everything out of Gonzaga. You could tell early on that Baylor was playing stronger and faster.
