WR/RB Thread

just putting this out there to get everyones opinion. sammy watkins is unhappy with his use in the rams offense. yes he had some injuries but is he worth lets say a 4th if the rams were ok with that offer? does he make our receiving crew better?
Is that even a question? When fully healthy there are only a handful of receivers id take over Watkins.

I've honestly never seen a WR drop more passes that have hit there hands then Perriman. I mean I know he had issues with drops but his are bad, and what makes it worse is that a lot of his drops leads to interceptions, that's just an issue.

The guy has a bigger problem then his drops, routes, or mechanics and it's his health. He has only played in literally one pre-season game, been held out of three straight training camps, and missed an entire year in 2015. Perriman just needs to stay on the field in order to get better and unfortunately he never will improve if he never can make it to the start of the regular season without missing multiple weeks of time. I just wish for just one year, just one year, if he can go through an entire off-season without an injury. I just wonder what if he went through three of these past off-seasons without an injury, where would he be right now if that were the case?

I don't know, but it looks like he's headed towards a sad ending here.
You do realize Perriman played the entire season last year right? And this concussion he just got does not freaking count because that's some unavoidable bs. You people who call him injury prone are just wrong. Injuries happen in the NFL and they are unavoidable. He has just gotten unlucky.

But I do agree @TheCity5, I really want to know what he would look like with 3 healthy offseasons. Its undoubtedly hindered his development a lot.

heard we had a chance on peterson and the cards beat us out. i am glad we didnt sign another bandaid because i want ozzie to draft a rb higher than the 4th rd.

Alex Collins has not shown you enough yet?

how do you know if we don't feed him the ball more than 15 times?

That's my view about Collins as well! To keep rotating him in and out of the game breaks rhythm.

he's averaging more yards a carry than anyone else in the LEAGUE, and even when the line is pushed back he makes great moves and finds the open space. As to why we insist on taking him out as much as do is STUPID

i dont like it but i do understand why they do it - the most costly places to fumble are in each team's redzones - hence when we get close at either end they are more likely to take him out of the lineup for buck and he's not a 3rd down back either so they take him out then too - he's by far the best runner on the team but those 2 things mean even if we did feed him more his production would still be stilted...

my logic, he breaks out for big runs. if we feed him enough there is no reason why one of those big runs don't turn into a TD

Marqise Lee!! He can win at a high level on every level!! He is explosive and Can get deep, intermediate separation, late physical separation, can climb the ladder, can make short catches into big plays. Runs great routes. Has good size at 6'0 195lbs. I like Paul Richardson as well. Throse dudes can be awesome in correct offense with QB

It really doesn't matter if he plays a whole season if he doesn't get an entire 6 months to improve his game. He even said himself last season was a big issue for him in the sense that he spent all the time rehabbing instead of improving on the mechanics and weaknesses of his game. Let me ask you a question, if Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, and AJ Green were injured the first three seasons in the magnitude Perriman is would they have had a great start to their careers? I personally think that they still would be good receivers, but no where near as good as they were prior to hitting their peak. I think Perriman has flaws in his game no doubt, but it's asinine to not think that injuries have not played a huge role in his struggles here.

Sounds like we are agreeing with each other then lol

Trust me I am a huge fan of Sammy, but his contract is over in just a few months. I don't think it would be reasonable to give up a needed draft pick to watch him walk away from our 8-8 bound squad. If anything, try and sign him this offseason if we can't grab Jarvis.
