i think id come down on the other side of things - we've got some pieces at tackle right now albeit with some uncertainty attached - but not many free agent tackles are coming without questionmarks at this point either - and it's a really strong draft class - there are definitely 3 tackles worth the 14th pick, the problem is it's likely all 3 are gone in the first 6 picks... but the class is deep and there's legitimate options in all of the first 4 rounds at that position

at center, this draft class is a wasteland... if we miss out on bozeman and tretter, it's very difficult to see us upgrading from TCC - i like TCC but i like him as a backup and spot starter not as a 17 week guy - he's good enough not to wreck your gameplan but i dont think he's good enough to be a consistent net positive (spent too much of his time in his reps in replacement of bozeman or whichever guard went down on the ground or bouncing off blocks)
The way I see it you're just not going to be able to address all the holes on this OL. If we're going to be honest the LG spot is a bit of a problem too. I like Ben Cleveland's pass blocking but his run blocking is pretty bad. Tyree Philips just has not flashed enough for me and I liked a bit of what I saw from Ben Powers but I don't see him as a long-term solution. I honestly can see Mekari sliding to that Center spot, he has experience there and though RT seems like a better fit, at least he can be a decent starter. I view him as a guy who can play all five positions though you don't want him as your starter. At RT I'm fine with Mekari, I won't sweat bullets but if we can get a stud there then I'm all for it. It will make me feel better about how we look at Center. I think we can give the Ravens credit for how they've been able to find guys with getting Zuttah via trade and developing Skura from the practice squad to a starter. They always seem to be able to have success there and you're going to have to gamble on someone on the OL. We also need a tackle capable of swinging to the left side and an early draft pick would address that as well.

You definitely got a point about the draft class of Centers. It's awful but that doesn't mean I'm going to pick one at 14. I think there's a gap between a guy like Lindemboum and what he provides vs an T, Edge, or CB. I think most of the early options Ts are capable of swinging to the left side if need be.

I think it depends on if Clark would want that too. Maybe he would want to be traded or something like Orlando. He’s a good dude, but it’s also just a question too. Not every question has an immediate answer. I could definitely see him cut or traded if he is upseated as a starter. Someone would have to really beat him though in camp. Regardless, he wouldn’t go for financial reasons and not even for performance. It would probably be his request like Hayden Hurst or Brown.
Different circumstances though. Those two players would do substantially better in the market than Clark, and trading them at that time was more about getting max value out of them before they walk in free agency.

That wouldn't be the case with Clark.

I'll believe it when I see it. I think it'll be extremely difficult for the Saints to get both.

They've been working some dark magic with those contracts. Don't know how it would work but somehow apparently it will should it all come to fruition.

i dont think the ravens want Mekari inside - we've got 3 seasons of evidence now that he doesnt really have the play-strength inside to be a starter there... in a pinch as a backup then he's a great backup - at all 5 positions on the line

but i doubt the ravens have even factored him into the equation at C beyond as emergency backup - right now i'd imagine he's in the RT competition and TCC is the incumbent at C

im not really concerned about LG - we've got 3 guys who between them will probably give us good enough play at worst - im a big supporter of tyre at guard but he hasnt had a chance to actually play there much since he came into the league... and it's worth noting he's won the open starting guard spot 2 years in a row - i wouldnt count him out this year if he can stay healthy and actually spend his entire camp at LG - but all this to say we dont need to add any more pieces here... if a guy is BPA with a high pick at guard then sure but im not going into the draft specifically looking for someone

i think if the ravens can add a veteran who can play C that they'll be content going into the draft - if they acquire a RT in free agency at a good price then that's a nice bonus too

For equal money would the Ravens prefer Bozeman or Tretter
Tretter is without question a better player, imo it’s not really close, but Boze is a dude in that locker room, that wouldn’t be the worst value, he might mess around and make a big leap in year 2 at center too.

I just don’t know if he’s ever gonna be tretter level, so it’s hard for me to pay him equal, but if the ravens do I can’t be too mad. I really Don’t wanna see him leave

it's a difficult one because, while OL seem to have longevity, there's also a higher chance that Bozeman stays good longer, might be able to be got on a longer deal that allows for a lower year 1 cap hit too

ill put it this way - Tretter's definitely the better player right now but he might not be in 2023
