Signings, Cuts, Trades

Didn't look like himself when he came back, was in and out of games, plus we've lost Tomlinson and Oliver's not good

because he wasnt fully healthy yet - he could hardly practice - they even said he was having to play at like 70% and there's a reason it was like 4 games between his 1st and 2nd game...

but that's not really an indicator of what he'll look like when he's fully recovered

Good to replace Tomlinson anyway, I have no confidence in Oliver, do you?

i dont really get why they're shopping him (if they are)

his contract is super cheap but it would be a 1 year rental type (unless we want to extend him)... i feel like another team would give up more though but i think id happily give up a day 2 pick if that's what it took

we dont need another WR but the idea of him, Bateman and Hollywood for Lamar to throw to is outrageous - would definitely advocate for giving up a day 2 pick to make that happen
Because they got the memo that the NFC must give its good players to the AFC.

none whatsoever - but also remember we've got ricard who played a lot more in-line TE last year in Boyle's absence and did a lot of the things we expect a TE3 to do on gamedays

i imagine we will draft one on day 3 for sure anyway because it's an apparently deep TE class in the middle-to-late rounds (i havent got to the TEs yet in my grading)

i actually think it's more likely that we'd be looking for a developmental traitsy guy who offers some receiving traits more than an out-and-out eric tomlinson style blocker because those traitsy guys are more likely to be able to cover should Andrews go down and also are more likely to be justifiably activated on gamedays to play on special teams - id be surprised if we looked to the draft for a blocker at TE

I agree and I hope you're right

I don't know why, but I didn't like Baker, but I do feel sorry for him. The bastard had spunk that was just too oversized for his talent I suppose.

I'm pretty fucking bummed about Z. Was still hoping we could reconcile. Our pass rush is hurting

Why the fuck couldn't we trade for Khalil lol

Can someone make an updated offensive and defensive depth chart after Pat signed today so I can see all of our talent on both sides and be happy again

but I thought his cap hits weren't that bad over the next few years? at least that's what our resident smart ass said when I thought he was too expensive for us

well if he said it, then it must be true and i stand corrected lol...
they've restructured his deal so his yr 1 cap hit is about 9m which is very reasonable but it balloons to 28m the next 2 years because of that - and as good as khalil mack is, im not sure id be comfortable paying a 32yr old and then 33 yr old that much money (albeit there's not much dead cap when you cut him but that would feel like a waste of a pick so it feels like you're setting yourself up for nearly 30m cap hits in 2023 and 2024)

Hahahaha I deleted that post because it wasn't very nice...thanks for the info, didn't know that

Could it be possible the Ravens are prioritizing signing Campbell before trying to sign Tretter? Not that one necessarily has to do with the other but could it be a money thing? Pay Campbell first abd see what's left
