Nobody ever teaches these guys one of the most important lessons a young man needs to learn, that your pride and ego are always the 2 most destructive traits you have. Cris carter gets on stage every year and talks about drugs and drinking and laziness etc. but nobody ever tells these dudes how dangerous your pride is, and where a lot of these guys come from, pride and ego is all they’ve ever had, They can’t see past it, in the moment they don’t care about their career, because their pride and ego demands they handle the situation in a way that only pride and ego could, with violence.

It’s a shame that with the internet and social media and so many ways to learn and enrich and enlighten yourself, people are using the internet to breed ignorance instead.

There's a great book called Ego is the enemy, they should all read it.

One of the realest things I ever heard was how many did seconds/minutes did it take. I cant remember if it was a show or movie but someone in jail asks the guy how many seconds did it take and the guy looks at him confused. He asks again how many it took to get this amount of time behind bars. When the guy responds you just see the defeat in his eyes when realizes how something so stupid can cost your life. Try to tell my people to consider actions and if its really worth it but too often people get caught in the moment. I had a terrible temper as a kid and had to learn to separate myself from the situation.

You are 100% correct.. i dnt know mayes case but some people only respect violence.. not trying to justify his situation but from my experience, mfs really dnt respect your peace until you violate them.. not to mention men already cant control their emotions and shit so in the heat of the moment, they lose it

Not a book reader but I read and listen to a lot of things, and man once your eyes are open to it, you look at life differently. You stop giving a fuck about situations, it’s life changing to just kill your ego, and I recommend all do it by any means, if it takes therapy, major life changes, getting off social media, fuck idc if you gotta smoke an ounce a day and take shrooms and run naked through the woods, kill your ego before it kills you.

It be like that, and it’s up to you to realize that if a person only responds to violence then that is not a person you should concern yourself with, remove yourself from their lives immediately and permanently.

Exactly. When you’ve thrown your life away over your pride and your image on the streets, well… you ain’t got shit to be a proud of anymore, you no longer are in the streets, and there is no image to uphold anymore, your boys, your family, your girl, they all forget about you and move on.

Phillips is so much better than Robert Myers they shouldn’t even be mentioned together lol. Phillips was a big disappointment though

This team isn't actually ready to play the Jets at the OLB situation. Means is an obvious PS call up. But like God forbid one injury even temporarily to Oweh or Houston and you will have legitimately 0 pass rush. Like way worse pass rush than the pass rush we've been complaining about for the last few years.

Imagine your pass rush as Oweh, Means, and Harrison coming to spell them. Jesus christ
