The Lamar, The Defence and The Injuries (again)

I just don't think this is all injury related. Think that's playing some part but I also just don't think they place a high value on him. Don't think he's destined for the back end of the roster and think he'll get an opportunity eventually, but just don't see him playing any sort of significant role.

i guess i just look at all the clues from the offseason and training camp and find it hard to believe he doesnt factor if/when he's healthy (if he still isnt)

very much disagree - last week he had more snaps than any skill position player other than mark andrews (more than bateman, more than duvernay, more than any of the RBs or non-Andrews TEs)

this week he was constantly in the game and used all over the place - and even had a 12yd reception drawn up for him off play-action on a drive that led to a TD

he's being used well and an appropriate amount - he was one of the guys they used to help out faalele when he was struggling early too
You make a good point he is a good protector. I would love to see him with the ball in his hands a little more though.

Think it's also very realistic that everything from the offseason was just because no one was all that good and Proche just kind of stood out by default. Honestly think Robinson signing took him out of the rotation more than most thought at the time.

If Pierce goes on IR, do you think EDC would bring in Suh for a visit?
No. If they bring in any additional DL, it's almost surely a NT type. Suh is a lot of what we already have in Madubuike, Washington, and even Mack on the PS.

Well the way Lamar is playing, if EDC doesn’t want to pay the man the guaranteed money he is going to want, on the bright side, the Ravens should get a lot of #1 picks for him in a trade.

If Lamar leaves and Harbs stay.. ill be furious.

Harbs better do whatever he can to sweet talk his butt buddy Stevie B into giving Lamar whatever he wants. Boy saved his job

If Pierce is injured and goes on IR and we bring in a free agent I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Williams.

I'm a bit late, but Hollywood lives rent free in your heads.

The dude played in an offense that was still on its way to actually being as effective as it is today passing wise (the Ravens were clearly not the pass offense they are today in 2020 or 2021),worked his ass off and got better every year, and only made one public complaint after he balled the fuck out (soulja's tweet.) Then, he silently requested a trade and was NOT a distraction at all. Shit, we didn't even know he'd requested a trade until draft night and apparently he'd requested one ahead of the 2021 season, too.

You all act like he was AB on the Bucs or Raiders.

Fuck Hollywood……he is a traitor……lol!

I can never fault a player for doing what they think is in their best interest.
Cant fault fans not not liking them when the players best interests don't match the teams. Though in this case you can probably argue that they did. If you take all the irrational emotional stuff out of sport it becomes quite boring, it would be like fishing without beer.
