Well..... The NFL, Goodell, the other Owners are all screwed thanks to Dan Snyder.

Here is the report, and Page 23 & 24 seem to be the most damning right now.

Page 23:
94. With the NFL’s blessing, Snyder and the Team attempted to hinder the investigation by preventing witnesses from speaking with Wilkinson. More specifically, Snyder and the Team sent private investigators to witness’s homes and intimidated them, engaged in abusive litigation to prevent witness participation, and offered additional money to former employees who had previously settled claims against Snyder.

Page 24:
95. The NFL was aware of Snyder’s attempted interference with the investigation but allowed it to continue and downplayed its significance. Commissioner Goodell characterized Snyder’s abusive litigation and use of private investigators as “a little bit of tug and pull with particularly [sic] lawyers and law firms,” while publicly guaranteeing it did not interfere with Wilkinson’s work. a. Snyder used private investigators to intimidate witnesses. 96. Snyder actively interfered with the investigation by sending private investigators (PIs) on unannounced visits to witnesses’ homes. 97. Witnesses reported the PIs scared and discouraged them from participating in the Wilkinson Investigation or otherwise speaking publicly against Snyder, and they were afraid Snyder might find other ways to harm or intimidate them. 98. One PI waited outside a witness’s home for hours, showing up on multiple days, and also harassed her neighbors. When the witness ultimately spoke with the PI, he told her the Team sent him to speak with her. That witness subsequently reported being scared for her own safety and that of her children.

What an Asshole and Goodell only helped Snyder.

I'm not going to have a conversation about whether Snyder is going to sell or not or if he can be forced out or not, but I'm curious if your opinion has changed at all @rmcjacket23. Not a discussion, just curious what you think.

He is such a crook that if he is going down, he'll make sure he takes everybody else with him. This is the age of the pathological liars and narcissists, unfortunately.

I mean, when I read a lot of the filing here, it's very heavy on "everybody knew about and did nothing about it" and very light on like actual details.

It's a civil suit, so its inherently just a money grab, and I think a lot of this is just an AG trying to get their name in the press for future political aspirations.

This falls under the category of "wake me when you have info I didn't already know". I know Snyder's a piece of shit, and I'm highly confident the NFL would be aware of an be involved in dampening the public shame of having the world find out that NFL franchises are like many large Corporations in the world, i.e. they're misogynistic and a product of rich people doing whatever they want. Much in the same way I know the NFL knows people like Gruden, Allen, etc are at least mildly racist, and didn't do anything about it until the public found out. Which I also don't really blame them for.

I'd prefer some actual criminal charges or something that would end up with an actual punishment in the long run, but to me, this is basically just an AG picking a fight with somebody he doesn't like in order to get some press, force Snyder to sell, and make the NFL look bad.

End of day, even when you read the particulars of the lawsuit, involving witness intimidation, cover up, etc., if they had criminal charges, they'd be going that route. The AG is just doing this dog and pony "I'm suing on behalf of all of DC (laughable)" for a totally arbitrary and unspecified amount of money, in an effort to get the findings of the investigation made public and to embarrass the NFL and get Snyder to sell.

If people are happy about that, so be it. I'll be the first to say I enjoy finding out that shit like this happens. But much like I think Congressional investigations of this stuff is wildly outside of the scope of what I'd want my elected officials partaking in, I'd feel the same about the AG of DC if I lived there. I'd rather seeing him going after criminal cases that impact actual people.
