I will never forget when my stepdaughter (age 6) begged and begged me to take her to an Orioles game. I got great seats, the weather was perfect. During the second inning, she says, “Is it almost over, I am ready to go home.” I also remember her mom made her swear, that if she had to go to the bathroom, that she would not give me a hard time about going into the men’s room, so I could stand outside the stall and stand guard. My step daughter swore up and down that it would be no problem at all. My wife also made me swear under penalty of death that I would not let her go to the women's bathroom by herself. As soon as we walk into the stadium she is jumping around like a fish having to go to the bathroom and refuses to go into the men’s room like her mother said. She was begging me to go into the women’s room. I was not feeling it and talking to her about how it was against her mom’s wishes and how she would have my head on a platter. Thank God a very sweet older lady was listening to our conversation and offered to help me out and took her in and watched over her and bought her right back out. Needless to say, my experience was not a good one. I hope yours is the complete opposite. I will never forget the first Colts game my father took me to, I was about the same age and it was Johnny Unitas‘ last season. It is a great memory. I miss my dad!
