I was never a fan of The Walking Dead

I think my favorite show has to have been either Dexter, or Parks and Recreation

My wife and I watch nothing but HGTV lately, so we've become that boring married couple that everyone dreads becoming. So, lots of shitty shows that we enjoy like Fixer Upper, Flip or Flop (fuck the new Las Vegas season), and Property Brothers. We know they're super staged, but we still enjoy garbage TV when we wanna relax.

My wife absolutely loves those HGTV shows! I've watched the Property Brothers with a few times and what cracks me up about them is that they will hear what a couple wants first; and then take them to a spot JUST to get them all excited and hyped up and then to burst their bubbles by telling them that it is well above their price range BUT here is a "fixer-upper" that we can get for less but it will take WEEKS for us to get it ready! Why not just take the couples to a home that they can afford and that is "Move In Ready?" :D:cool:

Fav tv show is Vikings, then I could name a lot of series that I dig but I'm too lazy to count them down lol

Walking Dead is terrible now, I just gave up at some point last season.

My favorite shows are:

Breaking Bad
Brooklyn Nine Nine
Banshee
Luthor

Do not watch Iron Fist it is awful.

i think i stopped watching after season 3 - the formula was dead at that point
rick and the gang meet new people, they find a safe place, someone gets split up, that place is no longer safe, someone dies - roll credits

Ive been holding on purely in the hopes that there was an end game, I no longer believe there is.

Movies and Tv were two of my favorite threads on the old forum, i think they need to be separated as i could go on forever on each one. We should have a mod change it up.

My beef with TWD is that the writing is lazy. There's filler disguised as exposition, meant solely to kill time until the next episode. So many forgettable, useless moments and conversations that the writers call "world-building" -- it's not. It's garbage tripe that completely betrays how good the first season was. When a show consistently has episodes that are skippable without losing much comprehension of the plot, there's a major problem.

Every show is guilty of filler at some point, but not to the excess of TWD. There are no real consequences when someone dies. It just happens and people move on. There are no real stakes. There's no longer a setup of an endgame, because the goal of the characters is now to simply live to see the next day. There's no incentive for people to keep watching, because they've not given anyone a reason to care where they go next. Things happen just to happen.
