The 2023 Offseason Thread

I'm actually super excited for Sala. Even if he's not amazing this year, the dude primarily played OT and on the right side. For him to have come in and been able to out compete Simpson and Cleveland so far as a rookie, in a totally new offense, at a totally foreign position, I think he probably has a bright future
Wouldn’t it being a new offense actually work to his benefit as the veterans do not have a familiarity advantage?

I mean sure I guess. But no not really. Any vet that has already learned an NFL system should have a sever advantage at learning new systems compared to a rookie. But who cares about this tiny little semantic point.

Point is late round guy with the intangibles is already flashing his potential early. That's amazing

I find it weird how people attribute the good signings to EDC, and before him Ozzie, but the bad moves are all Harbaugh when it’s not even Harbaugh’s job to sign players.
certain draft picks have been well documented that they were on Harbaugh. Regarding not signing Peters, I don't think that has anything to do with Harbaugh.

I think his frustration really started to leak out after than Ravens/Bengals game where he did not get the ball in the redzone.

It's a combination of not feeling valued as a player, where he feels he is clearly the best threat on offense (he was) and at the same time getting paid pennies for a guy who when on the field clearly looks better than most in the league.

However, his injuries have stopped him from stringing along some years. He is in a shitty situation with his window closing
I’ll never get over that, I had a $10 bet he’d score a receiving and rushing TD, paid out $1700. Greg Roman is a joke, best player on the field didn’t touch the ball, truly disgusting. My Bengal fan friends were grateful he didn’t get the ball, that really says it all

Did we pass all 4 downs? I dnt remember

Sorry if I missed the discussion, I’m sure I did, but there’s rumors we’re looking at Chase Young
They're not real "rumors" though. They're the same "tea leaves" people have been reading for months. WAS declined his option, so he's a UFA next year, hasn't lived up to the draft billing, and Ravens in need of pass rush help.

Same rumors have been suggesting swapping him for Queen for pretty much the whole offseason now.

Yea that’s what I figured. Hopefully Rock Ya Sin injury is minor, lord knows we probably need to sign a CB mid season to fortify our defense

You can see it when he caught it and he looked up.

He was definitely going to get in his face about it lol
This is the kind of pass Burrow would have Chase catch and then everyone would go, wow, burrow is a stone cold killer.

Perhaps this is the type of comment that should go in that other thread
