major surprises

Higgins got the 20k signing bonus and came from Iowa
but Lowery and Martin are major success stories for the scouts this year... a udfa from Chattanooga and a rookie minicamp tryout guy

I don't say this to put Martin down, but you wonder how this all plays out if Kone's knee doesn't get shredded. Seems like that was about the time he started to get the reps and stacked good days. A terrible day for one guy seemingly became a blessing for another.

which is funny because they don't really play the same position
but that was also when they were trying JAD out at nickel too

so i wonder if in a funny way that Kone injury also was what lost JAD his job too because JAD moved back outside and Martin came in at the slot

Bills put CB Maxwell Hairston on IR, meaning he'll miss 4 games and won't be available for the season opener against us. That's huge because Tre'Davious White may not be available either for Buffalo leaving them thin at corner against Zay, D-Hop, Andrews, Likely and company.

This is true, Kobe had some buzz too and was off to a strong PS start

Hamilton gets PAID. I absolutely love how this kid plays.
Best safety in the league.

Could potentially be the best defender in the league in a year or two.

The ultimate modern safety, could legitimately play LB, can legitimately play single high, can legitimately play slot corner.

I still can’t believe we landed him at 14 overall. Most important draft pick since 2018

Only thing that scares me about Hamilton is how he chucks his body around, don't get me wrong it's awesome for the play and I love his physicality but I'm a tad scared he won't hold up. I know he had the shoulder limp a few times last year as such but just hoping we can preserve him well by mixing things up with starks. I know KH is most effective near LOS but he played some phenomenal deep safety and he had range.

I would totally be buying his jersey today if he didn't wear one of the ugliest numbers out there esp for a db lol. Regardless I don't think anyone is remotely surprised and we lock down the goat safety. Would LOVE for him to get a dpoy he's capable

Looks like we should miss rice as well. Idgaf about playing teams at there best, we are always missing someone crucial and we get no excuses so I'm happy with whatever luck we get this year

One note I haven't mentioned yet is that the team finally feels they got it right with the coaching staff this year. When they got ransacked last year, some of the top options on their list had already landed elsewhere, so they opted for familiarity and guys with whom someone had a connection. That didn't work near as well as they had hoped last year, so they moved on from some of those guys and targeted some fresh blood and it's gone really well so far. Players have been universally raving about their position coaches which we know has not always been the case across the board like this.

Keyon Martin and Reuben Lowery both saying the Ravens are literally the only team that called. And now they're both on a 53 man roster. Scouting deserves a lot of props for finding guys no one else was even considering.

EDC did just say in his presser that he wasnt happy with the udfa process last year and challenged the scouts/coaches to be better this year

looks like whatever they adjusted worked this year

Bruh 14 is sick

I wore 14 at LB in high school, loved it then. And looks awesome in ravens font

This would be the year to do so if our pass rush looks better! Would be tough though. Actually, that shit might be impossible… how tf did ed reed manage to do that lol.
