Around the NFL: News and Rumors

seems like a really odd choice to me
you let him draft the guy, the guy he drafted seems to be developing well as a rookie... that's exactly what you should hope your offensive minded coach is doing (especially given they're missing their number 1 weapon in the offence)

obviously 2 wins sucks, but when you draft Jaxson Dart, you shouldn't be expecting to win lots of games and if you are then you should have just fired Daboll in the offseason

I think it's the fact that should have at least 5 wins by now. Choked the DAL, DEN, and now CHI game away. All of them were very winnable, but just couldn't hold the 4th quarter lead. I know Giants fans have been furious with their DC given some of his playcalls as well.

John Harbaugh vs Brian Daboll, the game that never ends because both are trying to choke away 4th quarter leads and the other won't let the other do it.

They are keeping the GM around who will help lead the search for a new Head Coach. Since he too came from Buffalo, Perhaps Joe Brady to work with Dart next season? I have to think another offensive minded guy to develop Dart.

Damn, I hate this for Dobbins. He seemingly starts to have a good season then gets injured again. The career he could have had if he stayed healthy.

Update: Dobbins foot injury will require surgery and put an end to his season. He simply can't catch a break.

Scumbags. From my understanding, they have a suspect (or suspects) in custody for this.
I think the same thing happened to Burrow while he was playing a Monday Night game last year. I guess thieves are targeting rich players and planning it based on when they are playing a game so they know they won't be home.

Good job, Watson. Tip of the hat to you good sir. Shall we burn a pipe?

Raiders fire Offensive Coordinator Chip Kelly. Have to wonder if Pete will be one & done at the end of the year.

More Head Coaching news, this time in regards to Mike Tomlin. Schefter says that the Steelers won't fire him, which I think we all knew that. What's interesting is Tomlin has two more years left.... one of which is an option year in 2027. The Steelers must decide on the option for 2027 by March 1st, 2026. Tomlin's contract does have a no trade clause so even if Pittsburgh wanted to trade him, they couldn't even do that.

Next year would be his 20th year of being the Steelers Head Coach and could be his last year as Steelers Head Coach, which is ironic because Harbaugh reaches 20 years as our Head Coach if he makes it to 2027.

I think the most likely outcome if the Steelers continue to be stuck in mediocrity is he goes to the end of his contract and it's just not renewed.

The NFL has reduced the time between picks in the 1st Round by two minutes. Teams will now have 8 minutes to make their selection in the first round.
