2026 Offseason Thread

Offense was efficient to start the season outside of untimely TOs.

The defense was terrible and I don't think that wss because of personnel. The OL will be better as will the defense. I think you pull a 180 on this opinion by midseason.
I'll be extremely pleasantly surprised if that's the case! I'm hoping for it.

The way it would be a SB team is if we stay extremely healthy and we get production out of the rookie class. The depth of this team is quite bad conpared to what Harbs generally had since 2019.

I mean I think its bold to say the OLine will be better because they signed a mediocre starter and drafted a rookie but lost a top 5 C. If the OLine is as good as last year that will exceed expectations.

Both guard spots have been upgraded and we have a real OL coach.

After hearing everything EDC has said in the media circuit since the draft, I’m glad we took Vega over Bain, here’s why..

If we take Bain at 14, we know that Boston and Zion were the targets at 45, we know that they REALLY wanted to draft some TEs, and we know that they liked Logan jones and Jake slaughter for C, but we ALSO know that Eric wasn’t expecting either of them to go as high as they did.

Boston was gone by 45, Zion would’ve been the only player left on our board and we signed an edge and drafted one 14th, we would likely be taking one of the centers or the top TE in stowers, but since we know Eric thought a C would be available in the third, Stowers would almost certainly have been the pick. I much prefer Vega and Zion over Bain and stowers.

Now we have to ask, did we value stowers enough to not trade back? I think no, I think Eric trades back, thinking he can go into the third and grab a C, he already said he accounted for his bias in needing a C and so he tried not to inflate the value of those C prospects. We trade back hoping for one of those guys and potentially miss out on both. At that point I have no idea how it would’ve gone.

With that, I think we had the best case scenario for our top 2 picks, taking Bain at 14 actually could’ve been disastrous in its trickle down effect.

People are way too stressed about wr. We have an OC who has been around great playcallers and schemers. We have one of the best OL coaches in the league, and I believe we upgraded the unit. I think people are putting way too much weight into our WR corps. We have one of the best qbs in the league, working with what could be one of the better offensive minds in the league. Pass protect and run block, and the offense will most likely be just fine. And whatever it was we had on the other side of the ball probably takes a HUGE leap.

A single game without Zay would look like 2022.

Almost every team that loses its #1 will see a dip in production. We didn't have Zay vs Buffalo in the playoffs, and that wasn't the reason we lost.

Again, with the OL being upgraded, we rely less on Lamar in the run game. We might be able to pound teams into submission.

I almost edited that last part... na

Normally i would agree but seahawks wasnt considered a SB contending wr room neither! Zay, bate and andrews are experienced enough.. still feel like we had too much of a turnover to be a SB winner this season anyway..

I don't trust Bate or Andrews. We have too many years now of this

We lost because our second best target threw the game all second half.

We had Likely and it was Bateman's only good year.

Not gonna happen anymore but I’d feel much better about the WR corps had we signed Jennings

We do not know if both G spots have been upgraded. We know one went from bad to mediocre and the other is a 1st round rookie. Maybe he is good. Maybe he is no better than what existed last season and is bottom 5. He has 0 NFL snaps so I am not willing to say one way or the other. I do know that a top 5 C is gone and that there is a massive hole there right now. I have seen how bad the OLine looks with awful C play hence why I would be surprised if it is as good as it was last season even if the G play is improved.

I wonder if he can be similar to drake london! London routes arent all that good but even when he isnt open, he open lol.

disagree completely
drake london moved differently to most of these other X guys when he was coming out - was a top 10 pick for a reason
