Some other notes there. Astros were fielded up the middle... SS and 2B playing near center. So? A situational hitter back in the day would have seen that DEF setup and slapped a dribbler down the 3b line.

Cowser swinging on a first pitch strike. Takes the next pitch, 1-1. Swinging on a marginal 2nd strike- fouled off. 1-2. Took on a low pitch. 2-2. Up the middle DP. Ends inning. Bad luck. He swung on strikes.

Same inning - one down, man on first and second after a hit. Cowser up. THESE are the situations we need.

That's only like the 9th or 10th game they've won when scoring 3 runs or less. 9-10/35. If they can manage to get the runs scored per game up and correspondingly the runs allowed per game down from 4.99 to maybe 3.99, they should win a lot more. This is going to take SP's staying in the game...

I have no idea how to really look it up, but this has to be some kind of MLB record for TJ's over 3 seasons for one team. Horrible.

I'm not sure about the coaching staff, but I'm not sure about the players either.

I'll keep watching because I'm a glutton for punishment! :) I keep trying to watch other teams play like on MLB or the Nats, when I find them, but there is A LOT of BAD baseball being played across the league. I used to really like NL ball, but since the DH change it's just all the same.

Now we're losing games where we score 7 runs?! We're in trouble. The OF is terrible and our IF DEF is terrible too. This is not fun baseball to watch. This reminds me of the early 2000 teams...

It's a crap shoot if they score 5. If they score less than 5 they lose. If they score 6 or more it's a win. It's pathetic we have to hope for 5 runs to even have a chance.

8 runs and we win yesterday. Reds scored 5. Our SP has been better over the past 3 games, all wins. Going for 4 today. Have to score 5+ to win. 6+ makes it even more likely.

I'm officially convinced we're snake-bit with trades and FA signings.
