at least with guys like keyon martin you could see it - you could see some pro level traits (even if he was deficient in other places... hence why he was udfa), i wasnt a fan of higgins but at least you could see how quick he was to read, his processing was good but he has to overcome his...
was wild the way they pushed reuben lowery onto that roster
he clearly practised well but we didnt see any evidence of it
showed very little in preseason or special teams etc. to suggest he should have made that roster
the fact that he was potentially ahead in the pecking order of keyon martin...
looking across the 2 divisions this is what I've got looking at the quality of WR2s:
AFC:
6/16 definitely better than Bate
9/16 probably better than Bate
14/16 probably at least as good as Bate
2/16 definitely worse than Bate
NFC:
8/16 definitely better than Bate
10/16 probably better than...
100% - was nice that he had a lot of hype in the preseason
but this guy's an ideal WR4 - legit elite trait (with his speed down the field), who can stress a CB in specific routes and packages but isn't going to play a ton of offence, but also is likely going to offer you solid-to-good special...
at least the journeyman C has great athletic tools that fit schematically
at DB - the top 3 CBs and the top 3 S are a pretty good looking group - you're right that i'd feel more confident if we had another guy ahead of Tampa but at least we've got a decent dime package group
at WR - it really...
everything i've seen suggests that this C "battle" isn't a battle at all
i've seen more non-RR reps at 1st team RT than I have of non-Pinter 1st team reps at C
everything you see has Simpson-Pinter-Ioane as your interior OL so far
that's just not true though in football
the center is often protected from 1v1 pass blocking situations because there are guards on both sides
one of the main reasons that Cs don't get paid as much as other OL (other than Linderbaum)
