Next Up: vs Bucs

This game should be a win. But how many times have we been let down by should be wins? LJ should start. I do worry that some of the vets may be emotionally drained after that loss. Defense should be able to force turnovers. We have a much better chance of winning three in a row than the steelers, so if they want the North, it starts here

No NFL games can be counted as wins in advance. I worry a little about them being a bit flat after the emotional OT loss. I had hoped they'd come out firing after their last emotional loss v. NO, but the entire team put up perhaps their worst effort of the season v. CAR.

I do still think this time will be different. They will be at home and - dare I say - playing with passion and with an identity with Lamar under center that will carry them and I think (or at least hope) we see that continue. The style of play will continue to pound the rock and grind the clock giving the defense the energy they need to keep TB in check.

Brate can still make an ass of Mosley and weddle though.

I’m not scared of this team for the same reason I wasn’t scared of Atlanta, they have firepower but they’re a horrible team, I’m not scared of a team who has 2 receiving threats and literally sucks everywhere else, including the guy throwing to them.

They come into the bank and we kick the absolute shit out of them.

I don’t think they’ll be emotionally drained, I think they’ll be fired up knowing it takes a damn near miracle play and the refs help for the chiefs to beat us in arrowhead.

We’re gonna be at home feeling like we can beat any team in the league.

Honestly, I think Harbaugh gives Flacco the start to see what the run game is like with him. If it is still rolling, which it won't, he will go back to Flacco. If it stalls, I think he goes back to Lamar and I believe he sees the Tampa game as the ideal place to experiment.

Well if he does this and it isn't working he better not fuck around too long because it is still an NFL game that we absolutely have to win.

I don’t think this is experiment time, not for Harbaugh who’s a foot out the door already.

Even if you fuck around and the offense does well, that gives confidence that it’s the formula moving forward, and when joe comes out and becomes joe again, how long does it take to go back to lamar? Too late? If we don’t go 2-1 we miss the playoffs. Don’t fuck it up with experiments.

Also, joe is too rusty to be able to step right in and light it up, joe comes out looking ugly and his trade value is GONE.

i think if joe comes back in and doesnt look unbelievable in the passing game it basically puts the nail in harbs coffin as HC - so unless he truly believes we ride or die with joe this year then i dont see how his position is tenable if joe comes in and starts given how lamar's played

I couldn't agree with you more! It's just a bad feeling I have about Harbs.

this is lowkey a must win. Hell every game from this point onward is. But this to me smells of a trap game. Ala week two @Cinci, where all of you deemed me to be insane because I thought they would win. The Bucs are a lowkey talented bunch even without Howard. Mike Evans is a beast, they have a good interior oline, that dline has some solid talent, they lowkey have one of the better LB corps in the league if Alexander is there(again we got lucky that he's done).

Honestly, I could see Harbaugh put Flacco in to see if December/January Joe shows up. I don't support the move and think we should move with Lamar, but this Tampa Bay team does have a weakness in the secondary. Brent Grimes is still solid but isn't what he used to be. If we can stop JPP and McCoy from murdering whoever we have lined up at QB, we should win this game. This is where we need the WR corps to step it up regardless of who is lined up at QB. Lavonte David is going to kill us if we try attacking with the TEs, so for once, I actually approve of the plan to continue to ignore them in the gameplan. They have a bad run defense, so expect to see plenty of that, but the secondary is the weakness of that team.

M***y: Got it! We are going to do nothing but ground and pound, and use Lamar to attack with Boyle, and Maxx. No way Lavonte David is going to stop the TEs. QB draws to Lamar, no way JPP and McCoy are going to sniff those out either! I AM A GENIUS.

Almost every element of the bucs defence is a train wreck - no matter who’s under centre and what scheme we run there are literally no excuses
