I was just making sure ya never know what people will take the wrong way lol

Meh...I'm highly suspicious of anyone who gets offended by racial jokes, so long as the intention is to share a joke and make someone laugh. If you do it to intentionally piss someone off then that's something else

The last 4 Years I've traveled to Baltimore usually seated in Section 107 there have been fights and all but one were caused by another teams fans. The Squeeler game this year had a Raven fan smack the hat off a guy then the Squeeler fan was the one thrown out.

In Houston the Fans seem a little more inviting they bought me beers thinking I had a flight back to Baltimore after a loss in 2014, they seemed shocked to find I live in San Antonio

Yea I remember his game against Green Bay 48-3 he played a hell of a game, I loved Boller he was better than Anthony Wright during the time they were here
That was the game he had 4 passing TDs right? I remember that. For a very short lived time the talking heads on ESPN gave him the nickname Kyle "Pro" Boller. Such a perfect nickname for any player, but he just couldn't live up to it.

Preston isn't praising Jackson and is getting huge grief from "The Faithful". Preston isn't calling Lamar a Bust, (How can he after going 6-2), Preston is merely saying "Accuracy" is like "Good Hands"...you have them or you don't...they both are not Coachable.

When Jackson tries to fire a ball into a tight window 20 plus yards downfield, he puts that "Wrist Twist" into the throw and the ball immediately begins to "Slipstream". It's like Jim Palmer's Slider...its starts to tail away and keeps right on tailing. He's best with a wide open receiver he has to "Touch" the ball into. At those times he uses less "Wrist Snap" and though he'll overthrow or underthrow that ball a good percentage of the time, its doesn't "Change Lanes" near as often.

"Reading the Field" is something, just don't even want to get into. Flacco was no Einstein back there, but he's a Professor of the Secondary, compared to Mr. Jackson. The "Read Option" was big for a couple years back there. Deja Vu, all over again! Can't even believe this is where we are. Harball was gone and he knew it, but caught a little "Lightning in a Bottle" and opportunistically has "Hitched his Star" to Lamar Jackson. Saved from exile by a portentous Shooting Star that surprised ALL by going 6-2. How much of that 6-2 was Jackson and how much of it was a Conference leading Defense is likely to be grist for debate over the next year or two.

Now for a little "Carnac the Magnificent"... If you are a true Raven fan, Carnac is going to now tell you what you have to Fear the most. What you have to Fear the most is that Bisciotti will be so overjoyed by the impression that Jackson made upon him that he will resign Harball to a Long Term contract. Remember Flacco post 2012? Bisciotti really thought it was all Flacco and what you HAVE to fear now is Bisciotti believing its all Harball and that Bisciotti is going to extend that Coach's Contract upon an even flukier set of circumstances than the basis of the Joe Flacco Mega Deal. You have to fear he signs Harball to 5 additional years plus. Like Carnac the Magnificent, can you sense it coming?

John Harball's Sales Pitch and Conviction: “I mean Lamar played really well”..., Harbaugh said of Jackson’s failed fourth-quarter comeback attempt. “I mean Lamar is our quarterback of the future, no question about that.”

I really don’t understand the hate for Lamar. He’s a humble and hungry kid that loves the game. Everyone and their mom knew his passing mechanics needed work. He’s made a lot of errant throws, but he’s also made some beautiful throws as well. His escapability from the collapsing pocket is beautiful to watch. He always keeps his eyes downfield and he’s NOT a run-first QB. He’s electric in open space.

This is a kid that came in the second half of the season after we were left for dead with Flacco at the helm and helped us win our division. This is a kid that played with the second and third stringers in camp and never got a chance to get acclimated with the starters. This is a kid that had to play against the defense AND his horrendous offensive coordinator. This is a kid that had a TERRIBLE offensive line when it comes to pass protection.

Yes, the fumbles are an issue, but I have faith that he’ll get better in that regard. He wants to be coached. He wants to be great. Us Ravens fans should be extremely excited for the future. If he tones down his fumbling issues and develops a deep passing game, he’s going to be as extremely dangerous in this league. So in conclusion, fuck all the haters. Next year is #LAMARSZN

Very well said and completely accurate.

The fumbles are an issue, they are not the issue. The issue is the 58% completion number. The issue is going over 2 hours without completing a pass because they took away the middle and every sideline throw was so overthrown you would've thought he was aiming for stands.

Accuracy is THE issue. If you cannot throw accurately, at least the short to medium passes, you will not make it in the NFL no matter how electric you are running the ball

When you're an option team and you are seldom required to throw, you can't be expected to be super accurate. In any case, I don't think it is as big an issue as you make it out to be specifically regarding Lamar Jackson. He'll get better with his accuracy as he is allowed more free reign in throwing the ball. Next year I expect his accuracy to improve. The rest of the skills that come with being Lamar is priceless.

Like his ability to move out of a collapsed pocket and make a play .

Exactly right. And accuracy was the big question mark on him coming out of college. I don't get why that is so hard to comprehend for some people, or the fact that accuracy is not something that can be taught.

I don’t understand where you get this notion that accuracy can’t be taught.

Flacco threw under 60% THREE times in his career. But let’s just forget about that because it doesn’t fit your agenda.

You mean he had 3 seasons throwing < 60%?
Yes, my bad.. three seasons*. And a lot of them have hovered around 60% but he makes one amazing playoff run and all of the sudden he’s the most accurate passer of all time. I’ll just never get it.

he's never been at 65% for a season as a reference point
3 times has been at below 60% for a season
as a rookie was 60.0%

his 3 highest season completion percentages were 2015, 2016, 2017 when he was maybe the worst he'd been as a qb (since his rookie year) for various reasons

all this to say Joe's never been known as an accurate passer
completion percentage does not equal accuracy
neither is a good indicator of success in the nfl

fun fact about Joe... during the superbowl run his completion percentage was below 60% in all 3 of the non-superbowl playoff games and he averaged 57.9% across the whole run

all this to say - none of it really means anything - completion percentage is a completely useless tool to criticise lamar for without context and to slam him for inaccuracy because his completion percentage over the season was 58.2% is a bit of a trash argument tbh given the lack of throws total anyway - if lamar has 3 fewer drops/throwaways over the entire season from his receivers then he's at exactly 60% and the stat is meaningless...

Those would be, what? 5 yards per pass?

i meant just in terms of running the offence

but his YPA were 6.8, 6.4 and 5.7...

his career average is 6.7

5.7 is disgusting lol

this year Joe was at 6.5...
Lamar was at 7.1

the median was Aaron Rodgers (and others) at 7.4

Joe was tied-2nd worst of eligible passers in YPA in the 2018 season - tied with Josh Allen and only ahead of Josh Rosen

People just see what they want to see I guess.

Really, do you think 58% is really that bad, especially for someone who wasn’t supposed to play this year at at all.

61.7% is Joe Flacco’s Career completion percentage. 61.2% this season as an 11 year veteran. This is not a knock on Joe. Btw, Joes rookie year was 60%. Just because he is competing 58% now doesn’t mean he isn’t going to FUCKING IMPROVE.

Maybe we should just cut him, because it’s obvious he can’t throw and will never improve.

My head is swelling with knowledge, all this wonderful knowledge.

Seriously the context is hurting my brain, stop using it, we don’t do that here.
