Mock Draft Simulators

These are kinda fun around this time of year, especially when you can get some insane scenario. If any of you try them you can post the results here. Here's one I just did on Fanspeak's on the clock:

1: Brian Burns, edge, Florida St.
3: Michael Dieter, G/C, Wisconsin
3: Khalen Saunders, DL, Western Illinois
4: Darius Slayton, WR, Auburn
4: Terry Mclaurin, WR, Ohio State
5: Myles Gaskin, RB, Washington
6: Blake Cashman, LB, Minnesota
6: Stanley Morgan Jr, WR/KR, Nebraska

I would jump for joy if this was our draft.

I did one on Draft Network this week:

1) Erik McCoy, IOL
3) Riley Ridley, WR
3) JJ Arcega-Whiteside, WR
4) Gerald Willis, DT
4) Jalen Jelks, EDGE
5) Kendall Sheffield, CB

Didn't go further, but I really like the outlook. Those round3 WR are really good, McCoy gives the instant boost we need wherever we need it, Jelks to replace ZDS feels really right, and Willis is so underappreciated.

You get extra points for taking Willis. He deserves it for beating Marty's son while at Florida.

Thanks my man!

There’s receivers I prefer to those 2 guys but getting those 2 in the 3rd round would be awesome especially after getting McCoy in the 1st - what’s nice about Ridley is he might be the best route runner in the class despite the lack of production and arcega-whiteside is also a pretty nice route runner (especially given his size)

22. Greedy Williams, CB, LSU
85. Zach Allen, DE, BC
102. Riley Ridley, WR, GA
113. Nate Davis, G, Charlotte
123. Michael Jordan, IOL, OSU
160. Jakobi Meyers, WR, NC St.
191. Myles Gaskin, RB, Washington
193. Carl Granderson, Edge, Wyoming

the first 2 picks were really hard to make, i chose greedy because i think hes a pretty clear top 15 talent and he has no business being available at 22, and no other player was near his caliber, so i said to hell with needs the value is too big, so this allows a clean split from jimmy smith and we continue to have the best secondary in the league and in time this may be an upgrade. Zach Allen is a 3 down starter day one i believe, hes got grown man nfl strength and shocking bend for a man of his size, the dude has legit hip flexibility and flattens the edge extremely well and sets up the bend with brute force, hes a tone setting DE who can play an edge collapsing OLB, 5tech, and 3tech, with all the departures on defense he can do a lot to alleviate the losses, adding an element of versatility and multiple looks, hes a mid round 2 talent at worst to me.

the needs begin to work themselves out later, ridley late in the third is beautiful, nate davis even later is beautiful as well and i think that dude will add a whole new attitude to our IOL because he is a powerful mammoth of a man who drive blocks better than anyone in the class and lands moving blocks violently. michael jordan has started at C for a considerable amount of time and before this season he was being considered as a 2nd round pick, hes tall and lengthy which is a concern, but hes got great feet and generates push when he plays low and hes got an excellent anchor in pass pro. jakobi meyers is a wild card at WR, he made a lot of big time possession plays for NC St. and jumps off the tape as a playmaker(i have to study him more though because im not fully aware of his traits). gaskin and granderson are slam dunks in the sixth.

did another one for shits n gigs and ended up with

jonah williams
Riley Ridley
David Montgomery
Beau Benzschawel
Trysten Hill
Devine Ozigbo
Lukas Denis
Ryan Finley

holy shit id need to change my pants after this. ozigbo is a downhill power back with some breakaway speed but has really solid patience and vision, hes got bellcow potential, david montgomerys a super high ceiling guy who really just needs to get a little bit stronger, between these 2 and gus we would have enough backs for a strong committee and should plow through fronts with the likes of jonah williams, beau, and these backs. ryan finley is really just a nice qb to have in the sixth in case the lamar experiment fails, come 2021 if lamar looks like he isnt advancing enough as a passer then we have a kirk cousins situation where finley could become a solid pro qb.

these mock drafts on thedraftnetwork are so unrealistic, but's definitely addictive to do.

One more from Fanspeak:

1: Cody Ford, G/T, Oklahoma
3: Darnell Savage, S, Maryland
3: Renell Wren, DL, Arizona St.
4: David Sills IV, WR, West Virginia
4: Jakobi Meyers, WR, Washington
5: Wyatt Ray, Edge, Boston College
6: Black Cashman, LB, Minnesota
6: Stanley Morgan Jr, WR/KR, Nebraska

Had to think about it with Savage in the third, but teaming him up with ET3 could give us an amazing pair of fast, versatile safeties. Couldn't get an edge rusher until late because the position was being picked clean, but Wren should help with an interior pass rush. Sills, Mayers, and Morgan arenn't stars but could become very reliable WRs in the NFL.

Every time I do a mock draft from draftnetwork, Riley Ridley is there in the 3rd. I find myself taking him every time lol

A somewhat realistic draft from TheDraftNetwork's mock draft program:

1: Cody Ford, G, Oklahoma
3: Michael Dieter, OL, Wisconsin
3: Trysten Hill, DT, UCF
4: Darius Slayton, WR, Auburn
4: Justice Hill, RB, Oklahoma State
5: Travis Fulgham, WR, Old Dimion
6: Bruce Anderson, RB, North Dakota State
6: Wyatt Ray, Edge, Boston College

I'd be pretty happy if this happened.
