Lamar Jackson

Not a popular opinion but in mine absolutely true. Rodgers is a stats guy. He'll hold on to the ball and take a sack if necessary but will seldom throw it away just so his completion rate remains high. He'll run out of bounds but won't throw the ball away.
I think part of that is due to how often he has to pull of miracle plays to drag that team to wins. They would have a lot more losing seasons without Rodgers trying to make those plays happen.

I have a inkling that Lamar Jackson and Hollywood Brown are the future of our franchise.....or the face....just like Ray Lewis and Ed Reed were.

Just an inkling....maybe cause theyre all from florida.

But it still makes sense. Lamar is our Ray and Hollywood is our Ed.

They needed to be able to run up the middle, it’s such an easy counter, 6DBs in the box and no LBs,
You would think this, but I was reading Reddit the other day and the Chargers someone was talking about the playoff game. He specifically mentioned how the Ravens loved to run up the middle and found that they were most successful through the middle, so the Chargers kept changing their gaps and their looks to create a clogged middle and create wide runs where defensive backs with speed could be on the edges to stop the Ravens for minimal gain.

welcome back, Bird. You'll need to change your name, if at all possible, to 44BmoreBird22. Kind of has a ring now, doesn't it.

Which is why I later mentioned how it’s such a shame that our interior is absolute garbage. Because it takes competence on the interior to absolutely crush that gameplan and we had none of it

btw the above interview really makes me think that jordan lasley is going to make the 53 again and is going to be a part of this team moving forwards - he's got a lot of talent but we've not even seen him active on a gameday yet let alone get on the field - but he and lamar have a rapport (and it sounds like he and lamar's offseason qb coach have a rapport too) - and we know the ravens like him because they stashed him on the 53 even though they evidently didnt think he was ready yet

Lasley flashed some potential in the pre-season last year, but just needs to get rid of those concentration drops. I remember at least one or two passes that could have been huge plays for him, but he ended up dropping the ball when he was wide open.

in college sure - but we havent seen him as a pro apart from 1 reception (i think his only target of the preseason)

He actually caught 6 passes in the pre-season last year for 58 yds (16 targets). I also remember him getting wide open and deep on at least one occasion, but then he dropped the pass.

I'm not sure if your having a joke or not. Rodgers hail Mary gun. He is not afraid to throw the ball. Cause he has a gun arm. You a receiver. Do your job. Catch. Good receiver is always open.

Yup, and actually if you go back and watch the browns game the week before, they actually figured us out late in that game. The chargers took a cue from them when developing their game plan.

They figured MM out, that's for sure.

I know when I say this literally everyone is going to freak out and make some generalized passive aggressive comment about Lamar haters. I AM NOT A LAMAR HATER. I CAN'T STRESS THAT ENOUGH. However, I made a similar comment about a year ago stating the way he is throwing the ball in OTAs looks horrible. The ball is only a tight spiral in like 50% of the clips they show. I'm also operating under the assumption they cherry pick what to put in. I said, I understand changing mechanics is going to be rough at first. But I said a year on the bench plus a break on his own plus training camp should fix it. The fact that he got extensive playing time and was throwing with a trainer this whole off-season and his passes still look like garbage when there's no one pressuring him makes me so concerned. I should give him more time but I have a bad feeling he's like 90% maxed out. I want the best for him and will support him all the way. Just don't have a great feeling
