Now the Pelicans have two picks in the top 5 of the draft and considering how much more of an impact rookies can make in the NBA, Pelicans are set going forward. Also I laugh at ESPN calling the Lakers "legitimate contenders" after acquiring AD.

I see them as more like outside contenders, where you wouldn't necessarily bet against them winning a run of matches (and therefore series) at the right time if everything fell into place - not least of all LeBron and Davis being fresh at the end of an 82-game regular season. In the end though I suspect the depth issues everyone's aware of will be too much and this edition of the Lakers won't amount to anything and LeBron's won his final title.

If the Pelicans play their cards right, the future could be very bright. I could see them having an upstart season like the Kings did his past season. As for the Lakers, it's even more laughable that Vegas gave them the best odds to win it all.

I think this is great for Lonzo Ball to be honest. Let him grow under a good head coach that will allow him to utilize his talent and actually play him.

Luke Walton did a terrible job with the rotations and pulling him at odd times.

His dad continues to talk lol. To me, the question for you guys is not just the depth (or lack thereof), but do you guys have any shooters other from AD?

Outside of Kuzma, who is very streaky, we don't have shooting. Going to have to spend all that extra money on shooters and depth rather than go for a bigger fish.

Bringing back D'angelo Russell would make me happy again

I get why the Lakers would want Kemba, but personally I think Jimmy Butler or DLo would be best for yall

I prefer D-Lo over the other 2. We need shooting, and he is still improving and would be a bit cheaper. Leaving us with more room to spend elsewhere.

Lebron may be happy, but the Lakers just pulled off basketball's Herschel Walker. If they win a championship that's moot, but lakers might have just fucked themselves.

watch your mouth... I'm not mad about the pick and curious to see how the young guys play together. The beauty of it is there are no real expectations so they can just play. Barrett, Knox and Robinson doesn't sound too bad right now. Have cap space, actual first round picks and management seems to turning it around. Things appear to be getting in NY, but I doubt it will last. These are the times that make you appreciate winning teams that much more.
