Lamar Jackson

I find this funny

https://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=325320&page=16

Chiefs fans here rationalizing how they and others will stop Jackson. Apparently all you need to do is stack the box with a bunch of dudes to make him throw and he can’t beat you with his arm. Hope we play them again.

While Steelers fans have come to accept it.

We can beat anyone with Lamar but the Chiefs can also beat anyone with Mahomes, currently the odds and defense and momentum is in our favor but I would never bet against Mahomes.

Steelers are just bad, they played hardball against Bell and AB and now look at them.

The only team that worries me in the AFC is the Chiefs. The Patriots,Texans, etc. do not worry me. Mahomes is a unique talent like Lamar.

If we do play them , we best have the game in Baltimore.

It makes sense, defenses are so worried about giving Lamar running lanes that they just try to sit in their gaps and contain, and our 3 TE sets overmatch dime packages in either speed or size. It really is pick your poison.

It’s almost as if Lamar’s threat to run makes the offense better.

Like when people talk about the run game carrying the offense... hmm I wonder why

According to those QBR single-game stats - lamar now has the top 3 qbr games of any qb in the last 5 seasons and is the first player in the history of QBR to have over 99 qbr in 3 different games - this metric has existed since 2006
but he's a running qb. Move him to RB or WR

I think this quote applies to our boy Lamar. He has been playing with a chip on his shoulder lately.

I'm pissed off for greatness. Because if you ain't pissed off for greatness, that means you're OK with being mediocre.

I mentioned this earlier in the year, about how I’m more comfortable with Lamar behind center in 3rd down situations than I ever was with Flacco, at least towards the tail end portion of his career in Baltimore.

And now I’m at a point where 3rd downs have become almost an afterthought. I am now getting comfortable with him converting 4th downs. 3rd downs don’t even phase me anymore and 4th downs are becoming the new 3rd downs where I’m not nervous about it and expect to convert. It’s unheard of and I am just going to enjoy this ride.

+ with this defence im confident that even if we dont make it on that 4th down we arent conceding anything more than some field position

Lol, this is a fact.
At one point yesterday we converted 8 out of 10 3rd downs. Those two missed ones were both converted on the 4th.
