Just imagine if we were able to also keep zadarius smith and he was playing for us like he is for GB...

You could literally just send the Lombardi to Baltimore if he was here

I had typed out something along the lines of being a dominant pass rusher from league domination and decided to leave it alone... but yes.

We signed OL Andre smith. He hasn’t had any history at guard has he? He seems like the type that could make the transition. Interesting move that I think has no impact on these playoffs but potentially impacts next season

Ravens placed OG Parker Ehinger (shoulder) on injured reserve.
Ehinger will be out for the Ravens' playoff run but should be ready for the 2020 season. Baltimore signed former Bengals OT Andre Smith in a corresponding move after working him out yesterday along with other veteran linemen.

They probally just signed him to bolster the line. Doubt if he's even on the active list for gameday. Powers has earned that right.

Big Changes coming to MNF, per PFT

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/01/08/monday-night-football-is-getting-a-new-producer/

from the article (does anyone believe Romo sounds disinterested, I certainly don't.

Tony Romo of CBS becomes an intriguing candidate for the gig, given that he’s due to be a free agent after the season. That said, the bloom has seemingly faded a bit for Romo, who at times seems disinterested — or at least not as interested as he should be.

really odd take from florio - he's clearly the number 1 colour guy in the announcing business right now - and no way CBS lets him go by not giving him a monster contract - only way he goes is if he wants to do MNF - albeit it would mean that he never gets to do more than 1 postseason game and would never get another shot at the superbowl whereas the other 3 broadcasters rotate each year

Thank god about MNF, Thursday night football felt better this year, like production wise, it felt more professional. ESPN has been really bad with MNF for a while now. The intro songs have been cringe as fuck for a long time, the Jason derulo and Florida Georgia line intro was the absolute worst thing I had ever seen, seeing that dickbags strained face as he lip synced “LET THE GAMES BEGEEEEYIN” made me wanna change the channel. The hank Williams intro isn’t much better with him just talking through half of it.

then you got the black and neon green bars across the screen at the bottom, looks like what you’d see in the 90s if they had the production tech to do whatever they wanted.

And then where they’ve maybe done their absolute worst... the commentators. Holy shit. Tessitore has been ok, boogers energy is good but he’s just dumb as fuck. Witten was the worst I had ever seen. Gruden was solid, I was one of the few who liked him. I remember tony kornheiser was the guy for a long time and holy shit he was a disaster as well.

ESPN has made one disastrous choice after another on literally every aspect of MNF, it feels like low budget public access shit. I really hope these changes make a difference

yeah, I never understood Kornheiser at all. Might as well bring Joe Theisman back. He's better than the recent guys they have had and that's not saying much at all. Hell Carot Top was better than a lot of them.

Not sure if this has been posted, but I read in the Athletic that Jimmy Smith said he is willing to do whatever it takes to stay in Baltimore. He feels this is home. Certainly sounds like he is willing to take a discount and I've been saying for a while he will probably take 7 to 8m per season on a two year deal.

i do think that given his willingness to lower his price, we're more likely to offer him a compromise deal where we might not have wanted to pay anyone else at the position but he'll be such a good deal that we'll do it - i also think there's some flexibility here because we can always offload brandon carr's option and cut TJ which would more than offset the cost of re-signing jimmy - i do wonder how long the deal would be though
