im guessing this second one means that he did much better in a later one of the skills

Jonas Shaffer tweeted he’s the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown Champion. I have no idea what that means. Just irks me that social media is thrashing him because of his 2 points. Like how sad are these people

its because the AFC won the skills showdown (lamar came 2nd in 2 of the other events and was on the AFC dodgeball team that won - albeit looks like jarvis landry carried the AFC in that event lol)

That throwing skills stuff is like going to a carnival. It doesn't simulate what they do on the field. I like the ones they use to have that moved like receivers and you had to hit them. It's like, everybody is talking about how Russell Wilson was threading the needle in the QB vs DB challenge. Yea, he had some nice throws (you can tell he had a strategy, even wore shades so they couldn't see his eyes), but he ended up with only 4 more pts than Lamar and threw 2 picks doing it. It's all just fun and games ... can't take that stuff serious.

Lets be honest, lamar ball placement is not as good yet so ofcourse the critics are gonna go hard on him for every mistake he makes.. in fact them mfs are waiting and hoping that he fails. It doesnt matter to me though cause he still improving. Just gotta keep working

That's all they do. When he's lighting it up, it's all quiet except for "he's gonna get hurt". It's like they're praying that he gets hurt for whatever reason. If he makes a mistake, then they come back out. 20-3 regular season, 20-5 career and still hasn't played 2 full seasons. I can't wait to see what his offseason work brings for the coming season.

His ball placement this season seemed pretty damn good to me as he was throwing for 36 TDs and only 6 picks with a 66% completion pct....

agree and for the majority of his passes, the ball was placed exactly where it needed to be. All he needs improvement on and that will come with chemistry is his deep ball placement.

Other fans are gonna talk shit but just ask what their teams record is vs Lamar.

unless they’re a chiefs or titans fan they’re in the L column

Even some of the balls where the placement looks "off" at first glance, you go back and watch the replays and you can see how they're placed exactly where they should be to give ONLY the WR a chance to catch them. It's crazy to think that he's only going to keep getting better in this area when he's already well beyond his years.
