I've seen it posted several times on Reddit that the cap is expected to balloon by $40M plus next year, so the Ravens have the money to make moves for the future. But don't expect Stanley to re-sign until next year. He's gonna reset the market.

tbf he's gonna reset the market whenever we sign him lol - but it's definitely smart for ronnie to wait for next offseason if he can
we know EDC is gonna pay him whatever it takes and that he knows the earlier the better - the trick is going to be resetting the market with ronnie and then hoping we get it done before tunsil or anyone else

Ok so now TE is gonna be considered a need? We fucking unloaded one because we have too many already lol why spend draft capital on another for the same problem? Use a third body just in case and stack up somewhere else so you aren’t one dimensional, hurst wasn’t getting the job done if andrews was down anyway; as we saw in the titans game
Hurst also requested the trade due to being 3rd on the depth chart.

I think you have to add another, but that's a day 3 add IF the opportunity presents itself. I'm not beating down the door for a 3rd TE but we absolutely have to add another.

is it being considered a need?

so i guess eric is betting on himself nailing this draft because we've not tackled one of our major issues but added a luxury piece and a solid player in brockers.

he also added another need.
Eric must think he's going to get 3-4 starters/stars in this draft.

So I'm assuming a 3-year $75M deal? Behind that offensive line, and with what the Colts have done defensively, I'd say Rivers could have a resurgence of sorts in Indy. Chargers offensive line was terrible which resulted in the decline his play on top of father time.

It's a one year deal. Damn they must have cap out the ass to eat a $25M cap hit like it's nothing.

Wow that's crazy, I know Rivers said he would only play for two more years but damn. They banking on a Super Bowl run this year for sure, and I don't even think they are that close to being a quarterback away like they think they are.

Came into the year with a boatload... top 5 available I believe.

They've resigned Castonzo to a big deal, signed Bucker at $21M per year, and added Rivers at $25M. Still have north of $23M after those three, according to Spotrac.

They're paying Rivers and Brissett, whom I consider below average NFL starters at this point, a combined $46.3M in cap space for 2020.

DL was one of our biggest needs

and it's also unfair to rank all needs as equal - adding a 3rd TE is clearly not as important as other needs
