If you’re referring to Ferguson, while I’m leaning on the “never will be jackshit” side, it really is too soon for him, he does have upside and absurd production from college and a few tools that translate to the nfl.
Still in character I see? Beautiful. You LOVE to see it.

As yourself this

how do any of our division rivals stack up to
Our qb?
Our run game?
Our TEs?
Our secondary?
our playcalling?

I promise you, every fan in the afc north right now will talk their shit but deep down know that the ravens are the class of the division for a long time to come, and will wish they had what we have.
Our run game maybe better because of lamar and lasmr only and our secondary by far better, but everything else i cant really act like its just so much better than the rest of the class.. Browns could very well go deeper than us this season and i wouldnt be surprised if they did. Steelers are always gonna be battle. Depending on if borrow is the real deal, the bengals are def on their way up. Our division is kinda like the nfc east, dont really know which team will step forward. No clear superior team.

People are acting like we are the patriots of the past where you could pretty much guarantee them winning the division.

I mean to be fair some players you can just tell they either gonna continue to produce or just gonna be terrible

Some, yeah, but can’t generalize. There was a time in 2012 that Jimmy Smith was a bust and was never going to amount to anything and look how that turned out.

I remember jimmy always had the potential though. Some players just look bad from start to finish. Like there is no progress whatsoever.

Baker mayfield has to take a huge step forward, let’s not act like the browns disappointment is all on kitchens, Baker was pretty goddamn horrendous last year and had his trademark poor character about it the whole way. The bengals can have burrow but even if he’s an mvp caliber qb the team itself is still at least an entire year away from even being relevant, 2 years minimum from contention. And the Steelers, well Ben better be able to still play football, and their strong parts are falling apart with their wr corps looking weaker than ever and James Conner showing that he’s very expendable and their OL due for a regression.

ravens have an all time generational talent and he plays the most impactful position in football and has a great staff around him and a solid supporting cast on the roster, there is simply no team matching the ravens in the north right now.

I wish the BR boards still existed because you’d be shocked what people thought at the time. Year 2 had some converts but people wanted Jimmy’s head on a stake after his rookie year.

I wonder if you can use the Giants foolish management and get BJ Hill for a 5th, maybe a compris 4th? He would be an excellent consolation prize for Brockers.

The browns were shit because Kitchens lost the ability to call plays and lost all respect from his locker room. We got our shit run by the browns once last year and barely squeaked out in week 16. I am not saying that they will win the north by any means, I was speaking on the behalf of me projecting our losses.
The steelers defense is scary good. They almost made the playoffs without a qb. People forget that they were 20 times better of a team than us in 2018 they just blew it against the Saints. Not to say we should have lost to them in week 5, but there is no way we sweep them again this year.

We aren't a 14-2 roster. I don't underrate Lamar but it isn't realistic for him to not have a drop-off after one of the most dominate seasons ever. Like I said, I still think we are a 11-12 win team. And I am not pushing the panic button in the slightest, I am only saying it looks clearly like we are banking on the draft so we have to nail it. IE, we didn't do enough in FA to fix problems, EDC obviously is banking on the draft to replace talent, but for anyone expecting for us to make a huge fa splash, I understand the fear.
1. We definitely didn't watch the same week 16 game, because nothing about that game was a "squeaked out a win" kind of game. When you're up by double digits for basically the entirety of the second half, and your opponent does literally nothing well against you, you're not "squeaking out anything"
2. I don't really care if we're a 14-2 roster. We can be a 9-7 roster and still be competing for a Lombardi for all I care. It was obviously be incredibly difficult for a team that went 14-2 to actually improve on that record, which is why very few teams actually go 14-2 every year. Hell, the Patriots, the mother of all dynasties, lose 3-4 games or more most seasons.
As for the Steelers, I don't expect to sweep them. I don't expect to sweep the Browns either. A good year in the AFC North is 4-2, and that's when the division is less competitive. Go back and look at the division in the Harbaugh/Tomlin era... 5-1 or 6-0 division records are very rare.
3. We're banking on the draft because we always banking on the draft. If you were in the group expecting a "big splash", then I'd question why you were in that group to begin with, and what your reasoning was for being a part of that group.

Did people just roll out of bed and decide "o 2020 we're changing our entire organizational philosophy on how to build a roster"? LOL.

They looked you in the eyes just this offseason and told you they wanted to keep their own players. So where did you think the money was going to go?

Such a bitch. Why is he taking it personally? Because we tried to shorten the cash? Rams won’t be relevant next season, so have fun

The only thing I can think of is that maybe he tried to use this as leverage against the Rams. Maybe his heart was still in LA when he initially agreed. Idk....

Doesnt look bad to me, I was expecting him to be angry or talking shit but at the end of the day nothing is owed.

I like a trade but I imagine it would only be for someone who can control the line of scrimmage and isn't a pure nose tackle. Suh would have been ideal but the failed Brockers signing prevented that.

Not sure why everyone is so negative, one DT isn't gonna make or break 2020.

Yes the Ravens will regress. They won't go 14-2.

But, if Lamar is healthy all year, the Ravens are between a 10-6 and 14-2 team next year. Playoff team.

I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather see a couple more losses during the season, so the team faces a little more adversity heading into the playoffs. Last years SF and BUF games come to front of mind as games that could have been beneficial had they went the other way, it's hard for coaches to get a message through when the club is winning, but I mean I also want the Ravens to win every game lol.

The biggest thing I need to see from the Ravens this season is an ability to play from behind. Their scheme is bulletproof if they jump out to an early lead. The only thing I want to see from Lamar and the offence is them being able to handle playing from behind, we haven't seen that yet. LJ is still growing and I am fully confident we will see that improve, even if the Ravens aren't a 14-2 club.

Let us not forget when people wanted jimmy to give up his number when we drafted Matt Elam

Ya know what, I’m now fully on board with clowney. Take the brockers savings, see if clowney is cool with a 3 year deal with the guarantees paid in full years 1 and 2, let Judon play under the tag, draft an ILB like Harrison, dye, or gay on day 2, go IOL and WR with other day 2 picks, see where that takes us this year.

clowney and Judon and Campbell for a year, if we land a good IOL and a WR, could get us a super bowl and boom your goal is achieved early in the window, proceed from there for long term building

Forget Shelby Harris. For as cheap as it is, I assume because we had Brockers agreed to that we didn't have time to talk to him once we the ankle for Brockers' became a concern.

I suggest you watch more of Hill's tape because he definitely resets the LoS and can play any assignment on the DL. I personally think Suh's best days are behind him
