no question the Browns have a chance at making a run and yes Baker had a down year due to a multitude of different reasons. I also think they have a talented roster, but I'm not sure Stefanski is the coach to take them to 1st in his first season as head coach.
I dnt think theyre gonna win a bowl. I just feel like as of now we arent the clear cut winners. I wouldnt count them out.

20. DI DEREK WOLFE
In every single season of his eight-year career, Derek Wolfe has been a better run-defender than pass-rusher. Ever since his transition to 3-tech in 2015, Wolfe has produced an above-average run-defense grade with three of the five seasons among the top 25. His pass-rushing though has been far more inconsistent. He ranked 25th in pass-rush grade in 2019 but posted pass-rush grades in the 50s in the three years prior and was still only 41st in pressure rate. He’s a solid option on the interior, but for the right price. VIA PFF

it's old. Lacks burst and atheltic ability. Campbell on his own isnt going to dominate games.
You mean he isn’t going to do exactly what he’s done his whole career?

I guess this is the year he falls of a cliff and we’re just really unfortunate.

Only $3M base is a pretty good deal regardless of your thoughts. Don't come in with the expectation that he's going to put up 7 sacks again and I think you'll end up being happy with this. Again, I don't think he's as good of a pass rusher as 7 sacks would indicate, but still a solid player at a good price tag now.

I want fucking Patrick Queen and I want him now. He is a Raven. We need some stud linebackers
Man idk who we should get. I think if we dont go wr first rnd or trade up early 2nd to grab one, we may lose out.. im liking the idea of what people have been posting.. wr 1st rnd, iol 2nd and troy dye 2nd

Wolfe = 7 sacks. He is a solid player , nothing spectacular. But a good pick up.

We overreacted to this and signed two guys who will have seen better days by the time they suit up for us. Overreaction to the titans game. They just didn't play well by their standards.
Why do you get so fucking angry over signing players who were better when they were younger? Being in decline doesn’t mean you’ve reached the point of bad player yet. Demarcus ware was half the player in Denver that he was in Dallas, yet without ware they won’t be winning it all in 2015(and Wolfe too, actually, as he was one of the unquestioned best contributors on that legendary defense).

this isn’t some long term crippling signing, it’s a stopgap for a quality veteran player on a cheap 1 year deal to improve our defense in the short term and buy us time to find a long term answer. Why do you have such a hard time accepting that? Like seriously, we cannot afford a goddamn Aaron Donald or Khalil Mack caliber player, there is no way to do it, please accept that and move on and see the moves for what they are.

just for perspective, you are the ONLY person, literally in the entire nfl atmosphere, fans, analysts, and professionals alike, shitting on the Calais Campbell signing, nobody in their right mind sees the ravens DL as downgraded from 2019. It isn’t a long term SF caliber juggernaut, but it’s improved for the time being. Holy shit man.

Expecting anything more than solid depth at this point in FA and for $3mil is just misinformed. I would have been more happy with Shelby Harris, but I'll settle for Wolfe. This should be our only move until the comp window has passed. We need to maintain some cap flexibility heading into the season

Sounds like the deal is quite team friendly, and certainly doesn’t take much cap. It is really the contract of a depth signing, so I’m quite pleased with it.

Judon had 9.5 sacks and he has franchise tag at what 17 Mill? Wolfe signs for 6 mill and had 7 sacks .

That seems like a good deal to me .
