I’m not going to pretend I know much on either Wolfe or Brockers. I am good with more pass rush so whichever excels as a 3rd down rotation should work.

I’m also good with a Judon extension as long as it’s edge setting money rather then pass rush money (if there is a difference). He is not worth big money in my eyes but is a solid player none the less.

Someone dropped three names they liked with Mims as the first pick. Does that address WR, LB, then DL?

Also, why hasn’t anyone posted a post FA mock yet? The 2020 mock draft forum looks nonexistent..are we all on the 2020 draft one??

I just got a look at him. Hadn't watched a lick of him and rushed it out. Good run defender.. decent inside rush. 7 sacks from the interior in 12 games. He definitely benefited from having Chubb/Miller out wide but he's a consistently good reliable player against the run and will push the pocket especially 1 on 1 from the interior.

id agree with that - the 7 sacks bely his actual pass rushing ability - im seeing him take advantage of the space created by miller and chubb a lot with stunts etc. that challenge the eye discipline of the guy across from him who are scared of the speed coming off the edge... but he's strong at the LoS and uses the long-arm move fairly well in the passing game - shows really good strength in the running game at the point of attack but not a special player in either phase

a solid addition if he stays on the field - wont make or break our season but may end up with some nice numbers

the best thing about him seems like a back-handed compliment (but it helps him) is he's a high effort highly active rusher - he doesnt stop and it helps him get finishes where he might not or where the qb might otherwise escape - he's a useful part of a team rush and is probably a more useful part of a team rush than he is as an individual threat - has the veteran savvy to help guys get open too - saw him use a nice jersey tug to hold the tackle on one sack for the edge guy next to him (and the fact he could do that with one arm with little leverage showed off some serious strength)

I mean, realistically, $16M/year is probably around the floor for long-term talks. Pretty rare that a player would sign a long term deal for an AAV less than the franchise tag amount that the team just slapped on him, which is at $15.8M.

At $16M/year as an "edge" player, its not elite money, but it would be like top 15-20 money in the league.

I wouldn't mind giving him a long term contract with half of it in guarantees like 5/80 with 40 guaranteed. It'll be a lot now but the last couple years of the contract will be relatively cheap given the expected increase in the salary cap, and if his production dips we can cut/trade him with little cap repercussions

I would have prefered Brockers but beggers cant be choosers. Wolfe does give us some versatility though as he can stay on with Campbell for subpackages, they only have to be rotated for fatigue

I still have not been given a single hint as to what made him this all-world dickhead that everyone said he was
I think for some people it was because of the following quote regarding the stand for the flag controversy: “I stand because I respect the men who died in real battle so I have the freedom to battle on the field. Paying tribute to the men and women who have given their lives for our freedom is why I stand. But everyone these days likes to find a reason to protest and that’s their right. It’s America and you are free to speak your mind. I just feel it’s disrespectful to the ones who sacrificed their lived and it’s maybe the wrong platform. But like I said to each their own it’s AMERICA! The greatest country in the world and if you don’t think we are the greatest country in the world and you reside here, then why do you stay? A lot worse places in the world to call home. Proud to be an American.” (https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...-america-is-greatest-country-why-do-you-stay/)

Now, I wasn't bothered by his comments for the same reason why our very own Matt Birk decided not to go to the White House when we won the chip because he disagreed with Obama. Other from that, I can't think of anything else.

Yeah kind of glad it worked out this way. I’m not sure who will be available but I’d much rather see us spend freely on the middle of the O line.

Maybe they need to, but then again maybe they do not. I honestly have given up having any clue as to what the Ravens have in terms of an OLine because we can think they have a player who is a complete scrub who suddenly looks above average.

That?? Wow lol. I don’t care about kneeling one way or another, but holy shit for people to classify him as a prick because he respectfully disagreed with it(emphasis on respectfully, since he respected their right to protest entirely) is pretty fucking soft even for 2020

I concur as I too don't give a shit one way or another. Someone not standing or putting their hats away does not cause to be emotionally triggered.

But just gauging from comments across social media, it seemed that those who weren't for Trump in the first place saw him (Wolfe) as one of those "If you don't love America, then leave" MAGA people. Idk...but then again, it could be something I completely missed lol.

It’s entirely expected of every single person in any sort of spotlight to have nothing but blind hate for trump and full support of kneeling for the anthem, so I’m just saying I wouldn’t be shocked if that’s the case

Media blew it up like how they do everything.. kneel or stand it shouldnt even matter. Just let people do what they have the rights to do or atleast what they thought they had the rights to do

Real disappointing to see some feel this makes a man a dickhead.
