I also remember the last half of the season. 1 game is not worth more than 8 when evaluating a year thus why I said the last half of the year. I have no idea why he vanished for several months even after coming back, it just was weird that he could not regain that dominant form from the first couple weeks, but regardless the first WR taken looked like the 3rd or 4th best overall.
this is a player that wasn't 100% for the entire year....you can't compare them in year one. He's going to have a big time leap and had a pretty darn good year last year as well.

My guess is EDC had the trade for the 60th pick already lined up in this deep draft and knew Dobbins wouldn’t make it to pick 71. Seeing how many RBs have gone he was right

After cooling down, I’ll say this... JK Dobbins could be a star, like we are essentially guaranteed to have better than a JAG as our RB2 and future lead back, and the he odds of him being substantially more than a JAG are solid, like he’s likely gonna see a pro bowl or more in this offense. Fuck though man I hate taking a rb there, that’s just a gut wrencher dude, 1 spot after epenesa and with Mims still on the board.

I will say the not being aggressive is very disappointing. The Dobbins pick isn't though

I would have liked Mims too !

But some on here are acting like EDC drafted a dude off his couch. Dobbins will do well here behind our OL, and we will be happy to have him !

Everyone is in love with Decosta and his fleece technique but ultimately he'll be judged on how he drafts and last year's class outside of Marquise hasn't showed ...still early of course.
Well more about overall roster construction and how well team is doing. Ozzie had some pretty below average or even bad drafts while the Ravens were winning a lot of games. It got ignored, because they were winning a lot of games.

All I've seen on social media about Dobbins is how pissed the Steelers and Browns are we got him and how everyone's shocked all the other RBs got taken ahead of him.

Also just watched some tape and 1st thing I noticed is how he can read the Oline while Hill cant.

Dobbins is so good at being patient behind his line. Especially in the goal line.

I think he'll do well. Dont forget hom much of a phenom he was at Ohio St his freshman year. All he did was produce

Jets gonna take Terrell Lewis I think.

don’t matter though, we’re all in on Curtis weaver lmao.

I’ve soured on weaver btw

Just to summarize the point because people are bringing up the playoff game where he had 7 receptions for 126 (certainly a good game by any metric), the 7 games before that were not pretty:

2 rec 15 yds
1 rec 6 yds
4 rec 45 yds (yay)
3 rec -2 yds
1 rec 1 yd
5 rec 42 yds
2 rec 23 yds

That is the Ravens number 1 WR. I do not want to add the math but eyeballing it that looks like about the same amount of yards in those 7 games as the 1 playoff game (+-10 yds).
Thats because the ravens #1 receiver is a dude named Mark Andrews and people need to realize this. The injury he suffered in Pittsburgh bothered him through much of the year plus he still had a screw in his foot.

All neutral sources I read online love the pick. Do you guys not like the pick because it's a running back or don't like the player?

My premise is not that Hollywood is a bad WR; my premise is that its a tad presumptuous to call him the only good player from the 2019 draft class (even knowing that judging off of rookie years is crazy) based on the numbers, when I could argue that Ferguson had just a good a rookie campaign and that Boykin is the most likely player to breakout year 2.
