Queen is a great disruptor of screens on film but itll be harder to sniff them out vs an Andy Reid offense.

Ice always wanted us to use screens more often, I think the last time we were actually good at them was with Rice. Duvernay should def be good in that department tho. Were gonna have to find ways to get the ball in his hands

duvernay's not a great route runner but with the ball in his hands he becomes like a RB with 4.39 speed... that's a recipe for success - he's like a less-refined and short-area explosive DJ Moore in that regard

especially early in his career we might have to create space for him to be successful and he's going to be better in zone vs man i think at least to start - so finding ways to get the ball in his hands seems like a good philosophy

Saw an article that said the eagles would only sign Clowney for less than 10 million. If his market is at or around 10, meaning maybe slightly more, but also possibly less, we gotta be thinking hard. I'm not one of the get rid of judon and bring Clowney people, but I am one of the people who says we are primed for a superbowl run and it might be worth it to make 1 persons contract worse long term to potentially win this year. Imagine Clowney on the team we have right now.

if we can sign clowney for 20m 2 years im down with a cap hit of like 13-14m in 2021. thats a rock solid 2 year super bowl window, that may or may not extend beyond that depending how draft classes turn out, but when the weakest point of your team is the pass rush and you add calais campbell and clowney to judon and co. then youre talking about a complete 180 in the pass rush and theoretically an unstoppable fucking team in every facet lol

Ross is a bum. He is not worth a spot, he is not worth money, he is just bad. I was hoping he wasn't the pick back then and fortunately he was not.

I think you may be underrating gus a little bit. I think he’s too valuable as a late game grinder or short yardage guy, if you’re a team who likes to run the ball or stay balanced, Gus is a great RB3, and most teams will carry 3+ RBs, there’s no way that 2 years from now there are 96 backs better than Gus, he’s established himself as a legitimate threat to grind out 4+ YPC by brute force alone.
1. He's not really a short yardage back. Not even the Ravens are using him in that way. Ingram is in the game on first and goal or short yardage situations, not Gus.
2. In the modern NFL, teams like backs that are multi-faceted. Need to be every bit as good in blitz pickups or catching passes as you did getting YPC or plowing guys over. Gus isn't a multi-faceted back.
3. I think you're overvaluing the idea of a "late game grinder", mostly because most teams in the league didn't dominate games and have comfortable leads in the 4th quarter, where they could put somebody like him in. Most teams are fighting for every victory every week, and so he would remain on the sideline in a lot of those situations.

Gus fits well here, because this team plays a similar style to what he does well. Gus would get 2, maybe 3 carries a game, on a team like KC, or Arizona, or the Patriots, who wouldn't need his skill sets at all.

To me, he's the classic "overvaluing players on your own team kind of guy". I'd put it another way... I don't think a single team in the league would offer up a 7th round pick to acquire Gus Edwards today.

I think a team like the steelers possibly would or even hawks.

Gus had 1 carry for 20 yards in our playoff game...lol

It's like we were afraid to use him for whatever reason. It was pretty clear that Ingram wasn't even 75 percent out there and, yet, we chose to go with him and ignore Gus. Makes you wonder what could have happened had we stuck to our rushing attack and had Gus carry the load.

California sure has changed it's tune. They first said no live sports until 2021, now the governor says live sports could return NEXT MONTH!

https://www.mercurynews.com/2020/05...-in-california-by-june-gov-gavin-newsom-says/

Texas Governor has also said live sports can return without fans on May 31st. We are on the path to returning to normal.

Fortunately things have improved. I would say though, there is a zero percent chance we have fans in the stands this year.
