I remember laughing and shaking my head when will hill didn’t know his place and returned that blocked kick, son of a [profanity deleted] made us miss out on Ramsey and bosa, at least that was my thought at the time, now I think we walked away with the best player in that class
I mean........Bosa IS a free agent after this season I believe ;)

If McPhee plays all 16 games in good health, what kind of season would you expect? I think McPhee as far as ability has always been one of the more underrated players, it’s always been the health that gets him, and he’s a quality 3 down player with positional flex, not just a specialist. I think if he and Judon start all 16 McPhee might outperform him

He's my secret defensive weapon for 2020. If he stays healthy and his snaps are carefully monitored, he is fully capable of double digit sacks for the first time in his career. Especially with the interior pressure being created and QBs veering away from Judon, they'll get bottled up by McPhee. He's going to have a monster season and will be the vocal leader of this defense. Just my view.

I think wolfe could possibly out peform one of them also. We actually have some decent pass rushers, especially 1vs1.. only thing id question is mchpee ability to drop back in cvg

Funny how not trying to lose seems to work out in the long-run

Like how useful is tanking as a philosophy

McPhee has made a career out of the doublehanded club combined with speed off the line

It’s a lethal combination

But his fit has always been in the ravens defence

Wolfe isn’t as good a pass rusher as his sack numbers say he is - he’s good in combination with OLBs on stunts and stuff but he’s not a great 1v1 pass rusher

How would we counter that if teams start doing that

run it up the gut and take the 4 yards a pop until they do something different

or play-action and let hollywood or andrews win - hollywood likely 1v1 if you get a look like that and andrews likely has a lot of space to work with on a crosser

or you run a screen

or you have pat ricard leak out rather than block and rumble for a modest gain

there's lots of ways to beat it depending on how they react to any motion

but good plays vs that kind of look might be a toss play, an outside veer type deal... basically plays that help you get out on the edge

toss-option plays probably effective - im guessing though based on a lack of experience with actual specific stuff like this (im still fairly new to football generally)
