Ronnie Stanley: "At the end of the day, I don't think money is the most important thing to me."

His agent is going to be mad hearing that lol.

Considering that they've been discussing an extension for years I would say that hes full of shit and just doesnt want any backlash from his monster contract. He deserves to get paid though.

Yes i agree.

O ok. Yall got it. Impossible to defeat fandomness( i dnt even think thats a word)
I don't even think its fandomness. I don't even really care how people rank Mahomes compared to Flacco in terms of SB runs.

I'm more or less just stating what actually happened. You're down 24-0 because your team doesn't score literally any points and you don't do anything on offense for the first quarter. The QB deserves some of the blame for that.

You're down 10 with 4 minutes left or whatever it was because your offense scored 10 points in 3.5 quarters and you have more turnovers than TDs. The QB deserves some of the blame for that. I think better performances earlier in games would have meant not as dramatic of a "comeback" needed late in games.

I wanted Mims.

Mims looked incredible at the senior bowl but I always take Senior Bowl standouts hype with a pinch of salt. Good player but I think we're getting AB .barber let it out recently and he's one of the more trustworthy/honest kind of dudes around so for him to say that '' he's probably going to the ravens has some kind of merit, unofficial, I know but it seems obvious.

I liked him before the senior Bowl, have been hyping him since mid season.

thats no type of fandom, thats objectivity, pat mahomes was not particularly good in the super bowl, he was pretty bad for a long stretch and then played well for the second half. they needed the comeback in large part to mahomes missing throws all night

Imo chris jones shouldve won mvp. I look at it like this, williams is replaceable and patrick is not..not taking away anything from what he did but people acting like he made something out of nothing. Mark ingram wouldve gotten the same numbers if played with kc in that sb.
you can replace mahomes with quite a few qbs in that one particular game and the results couldve been the same.

the problem is your criteria for SBMVP, it isnt "what player could this team have not done this without?" its what player gave the biggest contribution in this particular game, and that was straight up not mahomes, it was pretty clearly damien williams.

and yeah, ingram couldve done the same, but that doesnt make him not deserving. current joe flacco couldve done 99% of mahomes did in that game outside of the one run. ingram is a VERY good back, so saying a VERY good back couldve done the same isnt exactly a good way of saying a player didnt deserve mvp. Deion sanders was on the cowboys when Larry Brown won SBMVP in 96, deion couldve had the 2 pick sixes that brown had, but he didnt, brown did, and thats why brown won the mvp and not deion. SB MVP has nothing to do with what any player in the league couldve replicated, it is ONLY for the player that made the biggest impact in that game for their team to win. that was damien williams because patrick mahomes objectively had a pedestrian day in the SB.

The thing about Mims was people were shocked about his combine testing numbers. Meaning, he didn’t show any of that on tape. He was a contested catch guy and couldn’t really get separation. The Big12 isn’t really known for defense neither.

I have a feeling EDC went more off the tapes than measurables. Drafting Mims because of his 98 percentile or whatever is kind of a repeat from why EDC drafted Boykin.

But mims is all universe at the contested catch, Boykin is JAG there.

mims has top of the class use of leverage, Boykin has essentially nothing to offer there.

I agree 100%.. i think for the right team he could be a decent wr. Some liked him before combine but it was the actual combine that gave him the hype.. i loved halmer, regor and van jefferson but no way would we have targeted them

Many of us liked Mims during the college season and as @allblackraven said, he's liked him since the 2019 mid season. It wasn't the combine or Sr. Bowl that got him the hype on these boards.
