Overreaction. This is just not the answer. Minnesota is going to be filled with crimes now and nobody will be able to stop it.
not anymore crime than it had already...
the whole idea of this is that funding gets taken away from the police and put into programs that are better able to deal with the specific problems communities face and then rebuild the police from the ground up so that they are structurally different
my only worry is what happens to the suddenly disenfranchised former police officers from minnesota - what do they end up doing?
because if the defunding and abolition movement work then we need to be able to retrain and redistribute those officers who are no longer police officers
