the other thing that's maybe an important discretion but the ravens have now in 2 straight years got to within 1 score of the chiefs having been down by 3 scores

the problem for me is not that we cant comeback so much as we meltdown enough to get down by 3 scores in the first place - we snowball downhill as soon as we get behind as if we ourselves buy the narrative that we cant comeback and by the time we regather ourselves it's too late

all we needed was for someone to grab the bull by the horns and get everyone's head on straight that if we simply stuck to our guns and executed that we really were back in it

but we got in our own heads about the chiefs offence in the same way the texans got in their own heads about our offence

we lost by 2 tds - to me that's those purely accounted by those drives in the 1st half where we abandoned the run and didnt get any stops on defence - those 2 3 and outs in a row killed us and then the fumble compounded the issues

How we doing over here guys? Sky falling?

Can we just stick to the run for once please? 3/4 last losses we abandon the run when moving the ball just fine

*not Lamar rushes*
Chiefs 2019
24 rushes at 6.5 ypc

Titans 2019
9 rushes at 4.7 ypc

Chiefs 2020
12 rushes at 6.2ypc

We are suppose to be the best running team in the league yet we suck at sticking to the run....even when it's working. You can say well we are playing from behind so we have to pass. So lets do exactly what they are expecting us to do and stop doing what is working? No. You keep running down their throat. While i still think we are a 12 win team i have zero confidence in the coaching staff to make the right decisions when it matters most.

at the point we abandoned the run we were going at 10 ypc not just 6.2 ypc lol - ridiculous that we abandoned it the moment boyle got called for tripping and we got behind the chains

its also infuriating because we're the same team that managed to run a 2 minute drill against the Rams on MNF last year and didnt even abandon the run in that situation because we could hang our hat on it and knew we could do it at historical levels of efficiency

Plus, it's so easy to see. Not talking about anyone else, but myself here: I'm no football expert, but I can see this as clear as day. How are all these experienced nfl coaches making the same mistake over and over again?

Yep. Makes zero sense and to see it down in 3 out of our 4 losses gives me no confidence that they can learn from their mistakes. I dont care if it was 1st and 20, run the ball when its working, especially at the ease we were

Yo, how've you been?

The 1 seed doesnt matter to me. Winning when it matters does. This team will make the playoffs. They just need to win when they get in.

I think not getting the bye works in our favour. In theory we should get an easier opponent than the Divisional and get that monkey off our back.

Every time we lose a game like this, it feels less and less likely that we ever win a big one with Lamar and it feels more and more like his doubters are partially right, and that is a sickening feeling.

that said, I think just like last year vs the chiefs, if we stopped fucking airing it out and stuck to our game, it would’ve been different. We were absolutely crushing them in the run game and if we had replace Ingram’s runs with dobbins we would’ve seen many big chunk runs and probably scored a TD on the first drive

If we had someone on the sideline up harbs ass about sticking to the fucking run we wouldn’t spiral in the first place

I don't like how Roman panics once we fall behind. You're a run game genius just stick to your strengths. I get why we traded Hurst, but why do we keep Dobbins on the bench (1 carry!!!). We could've kept Hurst if we don't intend to involve Dobbins more into our game.
My rb pecking order is: Gus, Dobbins, Ingram. And Dobbins could play on 3rd down and obvious passing downs.
