How is Dez even a top target on this team. The dude came off of an Achilles rupture and hasn't played a game since 2018.
To be fair, we did try to land Nuk and Thielan. EDC will definitely be more aggressive than Ozzie when it comes to the WR position

I remember him saying he wouldn’t accept it if it was ever offered to him. I was so pissed he said yes lol

I was too!

The Madden Curse. An inevitable force that conquers damn near all. Sad.

That thing takes these players out the upcoming season. I believe that Megatron was able to overcome it by having a great season when he was on the cover. I remember when Polamalu/Fitzgerald shared the cover and they both had decent seasons that year.

An hour later , I realize that if I watch this team with any measure of objectivity it is clear we are not good. Some things are missing in its makeup. When one thing goes wrong we are noticeably affected and seem to be playing tight. Hate to say this but it reminds me of a typical Browns team that might put up a good fight but you just knew that with enough rope, they would beat themselves.

Oh gosh. That feels so accurate.

The guy on the cover last year also won the Superbowl and was the MVP in the big game. It's not a thing at all.

Because Boykin looks like a dud, Hollywood can't get open, and they still feel like Duvernay can't play a significant amount of snaps for some reason.

He’s also surrounded by otherworldly talent with one of the best offensive minded coaches in NFL history. Also, Damien Williams got cheated out of that MVP.

I don't believe in curses as such but the negative things that happen to the cover athlete within the same year that they are on the cover are undeniably eery.

I meant that as more of an indictment on our receivers' mentality than on Harbaugh or EDC. Imagine you're Marquise Brown, a speedy first round pick, and a 30 whatever year old WR coming off of an achilles injury shows you up after 2 weeks of practice and has more of an impact than you've had over the past two weeks. Brown had more drops than catches today, he was that bad.

I really don’t think Lamar played bad today. He had his hits and misses but I think it was more the former than the latter. I blame both Jackson and Duvernay on the INT because Jackson threw it a little deep over Duverynay but it also looked like Duvernay stopped running his route too. The sack was just terrible though and those sacks Jackson has taken this year have really been hurting us and I think are a huge difference maker between this year and last. I don’t feel like he was taking those kind of sacks last year but this year it’s almost like he’s trying to stay in the pocket but he really can’t stay there.

I think the offensive play calling has been hit or miss too and I think that goes also with the OL. Some areas are OK while others aren’t. Ingram is just done man and it’s so obvious yet for some reason we keep throwing him out there. He honestly isn’t worth dressing anymore and I would rather just give his active spot to some other guy.

The DL has an excuse because they’re so banged up there and missing key components. I think Clark had a bad game today too and so did some of our other guys in the secondary. Peters and Humphrey both had a stinker.

I don’t think you can blame these losses on any one person but the truth is our players are playing well and the coaches are also not always putting them in position to succeed, specifically Roman. I’m not bothered or worried about the defence but the offence is still an issue. We just aren’t creative on offense and I think that is also hurting us too.

I can’t blame people who say we won’t go anywhere and our season is done. I don’t think that is necessarily true but man we do not look like a contender at all.

I'm all for putting boykin in the weight room this offseason and having him play TE next year. He can already block pretty well and runs routes as slow as a TE, may as well just make it official.

Another note... Malik Harrison can sure shine on some plays. I feel like he has at least a few each week where he stands out and does something big, and the screen he blew up today was great. He has some ugly moments as well but I really feel like we've got a gamer in him if he can be more consistent. So many special qualities in that kid.

Man yall crazy if yall think madden curse bas anything to do with our troubles lol..
I am starting to think the entire team thought they would pick up right where they left off and bought into the idea they had some advantage because most of the team was intact except one huge important piece [HOF RG Marshal Yanda] and they improved on the DL.

And to go along with that, they haven't really had to face real adversity yet until this year. So far, they have not handled that well. But if the season continues on its current track, hopefully they start to develop some resilience instead of always feeling like "the best"

I’d agree with that too yeah. We really were very lucky last year and #Blessed with injuries. This year has been totally different but you have to man up and accept that and overcome it like every other team in the NFL. I definitely think part of the blame is on Roman but you have to blame these players too more than him. He may be calling the plays but Jackson has to throw better and these WRs need to catch the ball, the OL has to block better, and the defence has to try to man up when they need to do it too.

This has been a frustrating year but if I’ve learned anything it’s that we can’t rely on Hollywood Brown as a #1 right now and we really need a better OL fast. I’m also sooooooooo happy we traded Hayden Hurst because I do not want to imagine this football team without Dobbins

Exactly. I think Roman and Harbaugh and nearly all of the coaches are part of the problem, but the players also are not executing. So many pre-snap penalties. So many miscommunications. Just not getting the job done at all levels of the organization right now. And hopefully these struggles make them stronger.

I already said and I'll say it again if the players execute the Head coach gets the kudos for having his team prepared. Harbaugh's teams have notoriously been unprepared.

The Titans have fought hard all year, coming from behind multiple times against top competition. If it wasn't for their kicking woes they could be 10-1. That says alot about Vrabel as a coach and I wont be surprised if that win the SB.

Oh and cmon guys grow up the madden curse???please.

If this team had a quality OL, most of these discussions would likely not even be had because that would help mask a lot of deficiencies, that is clearly the biggest problem on the team, Hollywood is not a guy I’m too high on right now and he needs to get his shit together, if he keeps up his antics and bad play he won’t finish his rookie deal here.

but right now, the things that have been the most effective are running with dobbins and moving the chains with Snead, andrews stepped up big today and looked like his old self and we need more of that. If Roman can just get dobbins 20+ touches a game I fully believe the offense can get going, but we gotta use our guys, Snead and Dez are the only dogs we got at receiver, so fuck the draft pedigree and flashy measurables, feed your dogs, if Follywood wants to run his mouth and then play like a puppy and drop easy passes then don’t bother with him, they’re gonna double him anyway, get the easy ones to your dogs. Dobbins, Andrews, Snead, and then give Dez his shot, let Ingram be a mascot, let Boykin play some of hursts old role and just get his ass into a TE spot before it’s too late.
