I think they still have to do the 5-day thing before they get into the facility because of the travel, so likely out this week, and probably given a roster exemption.

But yeah, we clearly don't like our PS options and it still makes me wonder why they're even here if we don't trust them to play. A guy like Hairston might have to play this week if Jimmy is out, but I feel like it's time to start cycling those guys out if they don't trust them. Would rather see a guy with some potential that they can work to develop, but not sure that guy exists either.

i mean they'll still have use as part of the scout team but they're unlikely to factor into games - but the next question would be who do you put in their place - not a lot of options out there...

Not a bad pickup. Ugly year with the Jets but had a couple strong seasons with the Colts. Probably one of the better vet options available.

Notice how players who had been bad before joining the Jets become good and vice verse. So i think this will be a good signing.

This would have been fun, but understand why he's rejected multiple offers to stay in Seattle so far:

Going to have lots of roster stuff to work through here soon. We're currently at 48 players on the 53, but 4 are on the covid list, so really only one permanent spot to work with.

1. Pierre Desir signing could be a PS addition, but wouldn't be surprised if they just waived Davontae Harris and attempted to bring him back to the PS. Desir is probably better depth at this point and makes a lot more sense for the 53.

2. Tyre Phillips coming back. Could slide into the 53 man spot that is open this week if they want to activate him.

3. Dez Bryant, Luke Willson, and Will Holden. Would imagine they get the COVID callups on Thursday so we don't burn the free ones, but they're all likely going to see their way on the 53 at some point. Might not be an immediate need on the 53 but it's coming.

the arrival of him and carlos dunlap has really improved that defence as well - has helped to balance out that seahawks team - they're not the sieve they were earlier in the season

Hmmm idk u tell me looks like EDC and I think alike. First I said T.Williams now Desir..im 2 for 2. Calling them out before any tryout or news even hits.

I wanted us to trade for Marcus Peters as well but was met with negativity, saying he gets burned and isn't good for the locker room etc..and now look..yall love him right?

Are you sure it's that you think alike? Or is that there's a very small finite number of DB bodies available on the market, and we legitimately have to sign one?

When he signs here and doesn't play a ton of meaningful snaps or is even inactive on gameday, are you going to be patting yourself on the back still thinking you were right?

I don't think Williams is good either. Doesn't mean we don't sign players who aren't good. We've got some guys starting right now who aren't good either. And when the trade deadline is expired and your team has injuries, where else do you typically get players from?

Along with about 60 other players, many of which had much, much, much, much, much more impact on that team than those guys did.

Peters have always been the same. What he is doing this year is no different from anyother year of peters.. he gets beat on doubles moves 90% of time. gets beat often, and doesnt tackle.. its just always masked by his big plays so fans dont usually see it till its too late.

Well and the fact that, this year, he hasn't been making many big plays. If you're going to give no effort to tackle and look bad in coverage against smart receivers and QBs, you damn well better make some splash pays to offset it. Otherwise, what's the point?
