I mean I could our OLINE is in bad shape2-3 weeks from now I could see it. I don't think they'll go from activating him to starting him at RT against Pittsburgh, with no practice reps. That seems to be a stretch.

Totally agree and I had that thought too. Let him show his stuff while he has this opportunity, this could solve the Zeus contract dilemma in a few years, or maybe even make Zeus a very intriguing tag and trade candidateTyre Phillips has been designated to return - with how well Ben Powers played I wonder if we put Phillips out at RT just to get the best 5 OL on the field??? there's no way he's not better than Will Holden and DJ Fluker lol
just an idea
Am I crazy or does it feel like the nfl should maybe look into the Titans? They had multiple spikes in multiple weeks and have been busted not following protocol, and aren’t we the second team to have a spike after playing them?
it’s fucking weird how this shit keeps following the Titans in one way or another
that's a bit troubling lol
So we’re all aboard the Gus Bus Thursday!
that's a bit troubling lol
He beat us tho....
I think 10-6 will make the playoffs in the AFC, and I expect our record will be at least that.Sorry fellas this is not our season. I expect we will not make the playoffs with this scenario.
The other thing to consider is just because he's designated to return doesn't mean he'll even be activated to play this week. Its certainly not uncommon for players who are on IR to need a week or two of practice, once activated, to return.he might get some practice - sounds like the building's open from Harb's presser today... maybe im misunderstanding but he seemed to suggest the facility was closed this morning but was allowed to open up this evening once they did all the contact tracing and found only 1 close contact
it's possible that the practice reps are important to the coaching staff and to him but it's not like he hasnt played in 8 weeks like the old I/R he's only been off 3 weeks
and tbh even without any practice reps is he gonna be any worse than the Fluker/Holden combination - it's a bad sign when you're rotating guys reps at midseason on the OL

well this is a problem
Well, couple things here:I think the bigger problem is the winless jets have 52 more passing yards on the season than the Ravens. This system and Qb are not built to win in today’s NFL. COVID may spare us another sub 200 yard passing game and loss to our rivals.

Well, couple things here:
1. Your stats aren't correct. We have 134 more passing yards than the Jets. We have 52 less passing yards than the Browns, who have the 3rd lowest passing totals in the league, despite being 7-3 (see point #2 below).
2. I mean that's great, but passing yards has absolutely no correlation to winning football games either. I would borderline expect the Jets to have more passing yards than the Ravens, because when you're down double digits in the second half of nearly every game you play, why would you ever run the ball?
I'm also not sure why its somehow a problem in 2020 but wasn't a problem in 2019, when we won 14 games. We were 27th in the league in passing yards last year.
