That is simply not true and whoever told you that id love to talk to. There are several other factors that one can be discriminated against for at work. We routinely deal with wrongful termination in Maryland based on age . People always want to get rid of the old and bring in the new based on some very weak reasoning.

The 14th amendment doesn’t go away once your signed a contract with a private organization. Another misconception people have is that somehow private companies can do what they please and not be sued based on federal and state law .

There are conditions of employment everywhere, every job has them, he did not meet the conditions and caused a world of shit for everyone involved and could possibly put people in the hospital due to carelessness and selfishness and nothing more.

He will in no way, shape, or form, have any legal ground to stand on lmao, he directly broke the rules and conditions of employment during a pandemic and shut a whole team down and caused a thanksgiving primetime game to be cancelled. If he didn’t want to wear the mask and if he didn’t want to have to take off work, he had the choice to opt out, but if he didn’t opt out then he had rules to follow.

he’s fucked and he deserves it.

I'm starting to I didn't but damn this season has been weirdly unfortunate In so many ways lol
Understandable. But let me say this: Last season we head incredible injury luck, no major player went down (well Tony Jefferson, but that was a blessing in disguise). So, ultimately you'd expect that this streak comes to an end. This principle is called regression toward the mean if you're interested to read more on that. iirc even 2 or 3 years ago we didn't have the same amount of players on IR. Yanda is the only one i can think of right now - and Jimmy Smith but honestly he's just injury prone.

Interceptions are also a category that follow regression to mean rules on a yearly basis

Except states and the government do gain extra authority during a pandemic. I'm going to keep this brief because this isn't the politics thread, but Jacobson v Massachusetts clearly allows for compulsory vaccination laws over individual liberties for the betterment of public health. You can DM me or look it up yourself for more info. Source: Wikipedia and I'm a med student.

Yikes ... they simply don’t and I’m saddened every time I hear people say this regarding local government authority.

Governor rner Newsom and Cuomo having been learning this the hard way.

Vaccination LAWS have been enacted by some states. That’s following the true legal process not executive authority. And even then there are plenty of exemptions with children still attending school without vaccines (majority religion based). Full disclosure my wife ( GWU 14’)owns a family practice in NC so we’re fully on bored team vaccine. She also laughed at you for citing Wikipedia as a source. Apparently that’s frowned upon lol

Idk what you're referring to when you say that Newsom and Cuomo have been having a tough time exerting executive authority during the pandemic. I live in California and most nonessential businesses have been closed indefinitely or intermittently since March and there has been an executive mask mandate in place. Here's a graphic of all the closures as well as an AP article explaining some of the new restrictions. https://www.latimes.com/projects/ca...-tracking-outbreak/reopening-across-counties/

In regards to the vaccine, I'm fairly sure we're going to need an executive order mandating the vaccine if it comes to that because congress will be split regarding the manner. The legal challenge will definitely follow but the court case I cited should prevail and hold up the executive order.
Heres a different citation for you that's non wikipedia https://ajph.aphapublications.org/doi/10.2105/AJPH.2004.055152

We’ve seen more and more COVID restriction cases being overruled at the state and federal supreme court levels. The latest being California and before that Pennsylvania. Simply put, whether you agree or not , private or public , the people putting these rules in place clearly do not have the authority to do so.

Due process clause Amendment XIV section one is pretty strong.

You're a knucklehead. The Ravens may forfeit the Steelers game and the season due to thinking like yours. Begone.

A knuckle head ? I never said i agreed or disagreed with either side of the argument. Simply stating facts of law.
I’m sorry that is beyond your comprehension.

I personally believe a common sense approach is best (wear a mask, reduce travel, wash hands, be a good human).

Will there be anyone playing potentially on Tuesday that wouldn't have originally? Like can Lamar play Tuesday if he tests negative two days in a row or something.

Does anyone know when Lamar tested positive ? The NFL rules for return:

10 days have passed since the initial positive test; OR
Five days have passed since the initial positive test and the player receives two consecutive negative PCR virus tests at least 24 hours apart within that five-day period
