3 INTs and 3 FF aren't splash plays?
Yes, certainly are, so some of those are in the context of when they happened during games.

In the games specifically where he hasn't been very good (at least by my estimation), like KC, Tennessee, Philadelphia, for example, I'm not seeing any splash plays.

I think in totality he has some moments, but I could also argue that some of these moments may not have been all that significant on the outcome of the games either, like Houston, Cincinnati, for example. They're not garbage time plays, but they are against bad teams that we were already controlling and likely to roll over with or without.

How is that different from 2019 though? He had 1 very big splash play (pick six against Seattle). His other 2 interceptions came in games that the Ravens were already controlling and likely to roll over with or without (CIN pick six, LAR INT in Q4).

Its realistically not. Though in 2019, at least in my eyes, he was getting burned a whole lot less. He was doing a lot of what you would hope to get out of a Corner in a lot games, which is doing enough to not get mentioned. Pretty much the entire career of Jimmy Smith. Not really a ball-hawking or "big play" guy, but was rarely the one getting burned for big plays that was hurting the team. Also helps when, if he is getting burned, its not translating into impact on the W/L column.

That's not to say he's the reason why we're losing, but his play certainly hasn't been great the last few weeks (along with many other players), and we're getting a lot more of the downside of his style of play in games that we're losing.

This is also in the context of the idea of several posters on here (and other places) being adamant that Peters is a better overall Corner than Marlon, which I disagreed with then and certainly do now as well.

Whoever said Peters was better than Marlon needs their fingers taken away from them. No more posting.

The same. Doesnt have ball skills but plays good defense.. i didnt think he was bad, i just dont like cbs who dont know how or when to get their head around to look for the ball. Ball skills, ball anticipation idk whatever it can be called lol..

and yet he creates more turnovers than many corners because of the fumbles lol - weve loved jimmy smith here since he was drafted and even when he was playing up with the best in the league he was never a big threat to force turnovers

Since we’re back on the jimmy love train, he’s becoming one of the franchises all time players, we got the ray/ed/sizzle tier, and then we got ngata, Jimmy, and mosley in that second tier of great ravens defenders

ball skills or not, he's creating more turnovers than almost anyone in the league due to fumbles he is creating.
