i was thinking about our WR development and the criticisms we used to have of bobby engram but i do wonder if he just happened to be the WR coach who got shafted with no talent at WR to develop

but i have to say i never even realised that David Culley is the same guy who coached the KC WRs in 2014 the year where they didn't have a single TD in that wr corps lol

he's not been around long enough to concretely talk about any trends lol

just thought id throw out that piece of info

Was going to mention this a while ago and decided to let it be. Could be more than him because their wr corps wasn't exactly what they have now. Still not a streak you want on your resume.

Of course that’s the guy harbaugh wants on his staff...

Fuck I could just hear Ozzie in a presser now saying “the Baltimore Ravens became a better football team today” after hiring him.

this organization is clueless on receivers

I think every position coach has some bad moments in his career. Not sure if that one season should overshadow what David Culley has done overall in his career as a wide receiver coach though. If the passing game does continue to show lack of life then I could see him losing his passing game coordinator role next year but at the same time it's probably isn't the most easiest task to try to develop two sophomore receivers such as Hollywood Brown and Miles Boykin as the go two guys for LJ while having limit time in training camp to work with them because of Covid 19.

I did know that, but I attribute that more to Smith than Culley

We gave up too much not to sign him but i wanna see a 12+ sack guy on the team
I wanna see a guy who brings pressure when we need it in big games. 2014 was the last time we fielded a respectable pass rush. We drafted too many turds and scrubs or didnt extend them.

We know about the madden curse, and the drake curse, but is there a Weezy curse/blessing that we know of? Because DJ Khaled uploaded a hype video for Wayne’s no ceilings 3, and the last line before they cut it off was “I got bars OD I been runnin this rap shit, I run this bitch like I’m Lamar Jackson”

around :25 mark

What if we dnt even resign yannick?
There’s no way in hell we don’t lol. He’ll get accustomed to our playbook and be a monster here in his prime and EDC knows that. I just want to see his hands in the dirt more

This is honestly best case scenario right now for us this break hopefully allows some players to get healthy we play the Steelers and even if we lose atleast we get Lamar and probably a decently healthy Dline back to finish the season starting with the cowboys game I think we win out now minus the Steelers game I just don't see how we could win that game I'd be shocked

But I really see us winning out the Browns are the only team that strikes any fear in me but if we are full go with Bwill and Campbell back on D I don't think it'll be an issue

Random question: let’s put Lamar into 2012’s offense. He has the luxury of having Boldin, Torrey, Jacoby, Pitta, Rice and everyone else. Keep in mind though, we’re not changing the offense for him. We’re keeping the same offense designed for Flacco. I can’t remember if it was the Air Coryell or if it changed when Cam was fired. Regardless, there’s no pistol, but let’s say there’s some read options because it’s, well, Lamar. Does he succeed, and can he threaten the defense vertically like Flacco did so well with Torrey and Jacoby, because we know Pitta and Q would feast underneath with Lamar.

For me personally, I’m saying absolutely. I think Lamar is a pocket passer first, and looks to run second. Give Lamar a better supporting cast. I thinks it’s fair to say that even Torrey was better than Hollywood, and even Jacoby could be on par. That should tell you how piss poor the talent around Lamar is. Not giving up on Hollywood yet, though...

No chance just my opinion Joe Flacco would make Hollywood a star in this league Lamar just isn't there passing the ball I love him but he has some work to do if we are just being objectively honest that doesn't mean he's bad but I don't think he elevates that team 2008-2014 Joe was a much better thrower than Lamar currently but Lamar has the X factor with his legs and that's honesty what makes him special
