This game was there for the taking.

Frustrating that it feels like 2 playoff exits in a row were Murphy's Law type games. 3 straight years we've absolutely crumbled to finish the year. It's more disappointing that we don't go out guns-blazing. Feels like being cheated as a fan. If we'd gone out playing our best at least we don't get haunted by the "what ifs"

Just so many missed opportunities and self-inflicted mistakes.

The post-mortum of this game is going to be rough.

I hope Lamar's ok.

For the 2nd year in a row, it feels like Hollywood showed up and not much else in the passing attack.

And even with everything going wrong, we were still in the game after Lamar went out. This was salvageable if Lamar was able to stay in the game. Huntley did admirably in relief but it wasn't enough.

The hot takes are going to be no fun...

I was prepared to lose this game, all I wanted out of this year was 1 playoff win and we got that, anything later was playing with house money. But that came with the caveat that we get outplayed. What I didn't want was what ended up happening wherein we completely melt down and beat ourselves. If you told me before the game that we would hold Buffalo to 17 points I would've guaranteed a win. But missed kicks, terrible blocking, and a bad pick-6 tells me that we just killed ourselves tonight and I just can't accept that. I guess we get another year of "Lamar can't get it done" and nothing we do in the regular season mattering and I really fucking hate that.

Well I held up my end of the bargain and got drunk, we got outplayed completely. Off to the beach to punch a shark or something.

i was the same - content with the Titans win and ok with going out this round

but my assumption was that with the monkey off our backs we wouldn't shit the bed

to lose this way in such a self-defeating manner is just so much more aggravating than losing because the other team purely beat you

I will say this - it's hard to look at positives but this game wasn't devoid of positives

Hollywood shows up in big moments and has been the standout performer in all 3 of the playoff games he's played in
DBs did well generally except for the inexplicable moments where we had Tramon Williams matched up against Diggs which inevitably wasn't going to go well
Huntley showed some moxie and did admirably in relief in a tough situation

it kills me that Lamar never got the chance to try and avenge the pick-6 - 1 running play and 1 bad snap and he's out of the game - you know that's going to fester under his skin all offseason

The game plan was terrible. The C needs to not handle the snaps anymore. Answering the question whether we are a running team or passing team and who runs the OFF is essential before extending Lamar. IM NOT AGAINST LAMAR!!! I just think you have to determine what his roll is. Today's game plan was a running attack for the first three series... after that... WTF?!

The team has a lot more to deal with than just filling holes on offense. Can anybody honestly say this team is a receiver or a lineman away from putting up more than 3 points against a top 10 defense?

I'm not angry really, just sad that it's over. I'm really hoping to see some major improvement in the passing game this offseason. I hope Lamar takes another step forward.

I can't stop but think about the video Kurt Warner made and I'm wondering what those routes looked like in the 1st half. I want to see us be able to run over everyone and light them up in the air too.

Considering that those were the areas that stopped us from finishing drives inside the 10.....yeah

The passing game needs a massive overhaul - it has to be priority 1 - whatever the options we have to rectify it need to be exercised

whether that be adding weapons?
whether that be adding interior offensive line help?
whether that be schematic?
a combination of all 3?
something else entirely?

we have to devote this offseason to fixing it because it's a problem that puts us in serious problems and it's clearly not all on Lamar

Just sloppy and panicked football. Despite all of that we still had a chance until the Lamar pick. It sucks because he was doing alright until that play, and that was the nail in the coffin. All of the good overshadowed by quite possibly the worst decision of his career so far.

I don’t think there’s any possibly about it. That was for sure the worst decision and throw of his career. No tipped at the line or anything that messed up the throw. It was all on Lamar there

i mean without doing much at all today we still should have won this game

2 bad offensive plays in 3 snaps ended this game but with absolutely nothing going right we should have been winning this game...
this sputtering offence outgained the bills in the air and on the ground but had one brutal turnover and the starting QB get knocked out of the game

we had 2 8+ minute drives end in 0 points (or worse a pick 6)

we were 1 or 2 plays away from winning this game despite the score - hard to see how a different center or a starting quality receiver WOULDNT have made the difference here despite the inadequacies

The only GOOD that I saw tonight happened before the game started. I was scrolling my IG feed when I came across this gem from this random IG model I follow. Save your "tasteless" and/or "classless" comments, I don't give a fuck.

Moderator EDIT (not deleting it or anything but am gonna put it inside spoilers given that not everyone will want to see it)

I really respect what Snead and Boykin do in the blocking game, but you’ve got to improve there at the expense of that skill. Fighters and they’re pretty damn good at it, but we need more impact as receivers.

This game pisses me off. We should have won it but we let them off the hook. I really liked Mekari and thought he was the future but his snapping tonight was just as bad as Skura's and we need to get someone reliable. I think Roman has to go, his play calling today was atrocious between the terrible passing schemes and his desire to run the ball outside instead of inside is really questionable to me.

I know the narrative is going to be Lamar is a choker, Lamar can't get it done, etc. That shouldn't be the narrative, only a little bit of it. I like Harbaugh and I know damn well if we were to ever fire him he would be signed somewhere else within a day. Just at this point, we know what Lamar and this offense can do. We have the defense that can contain opposing offenses like we did against Tennessee and even tonight against Buffalo. I just wonder if the narrative should include whether Harbaugh can coach under the pressure when it matters the most?

I know our defense is set but I knew it would hurt us not improving our receiving core and Dez is not the answer. I'm not saying we should have essentially traded Patrick Queen for Diggs but damn we go out and make improvements on defense like we always do, but ignored the offense again. We were content with the receiving core we had when we should have been more aggressive in improving it. Brown is good, Andrews is good but we really don't have someone else who can help spread opposing defenses. This game tonight was on Lamar as without that pick 6, we have a shot to tie it up at 10. Just so frustrating knowing we should have won this game tonight and being ready to take on Kansas City or Cleveland next week.

Roman must GO !!! He is a terrible real time play call adjuster.
We will never go far with him calling the plays

He is hurting Lamar’s growth .
